Clear, useful, no-nonsense,
By Debra Rosenthal (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Tarot: A Practical Guide to Tarot Card Reading (Paperback)
This is the best book for using Tarot I've ever read, and I've read a lot of them. No hocus-pocus, claims of "penetrating beyond the veil," or esoteric rigamarole. Almond and Seddon present a psychologically and philosophically sensitive introduction to the cards.

A Great Resource,
By D,G. (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Tarot: A Practical Guide to Tarot Card Reading (Paperback)
I've used this book for the last 10 years and found it to be very helpful. I learned how to read tarot cards with this book and still trust it to bring significant insights to my readings. The descriptions for the cards are direct and easy to understand. It also describes different spreads, how each spread is suited for a different type of question, and how to interpret the spreads. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is new to tarot, or for a tarot pro looking to add another resource to their library.
