4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Beginner's Book
This book and Todd Lofton's "Getting Started in Futures" are probably the best beginner's books in the market. This book touches most aspects of trading, but you should study a thicker deeper hard cover book by Jack Schwager, Perry Kaufman,...

These 2 books give you a feel for the futures game, to let you decide whether you should participate in it or not. This book touches most aspects of trading, but you should study a thicker deeper hard cover book by Jack Schwager, Perry Kaufman, Martin Pring or John Murphy before committing serious money to the game.

The contents of the book whets your appetite for some useful information. The reality falls far short of your expectations however. The technical analysis section presents nothing you should not already know and is very weak. Many of the examples are of very radical events in historical perspective. If you are looking for real strategy and technical analysis keep searching. If you wish to learn the fundamentals this may be useful. The charts present the profit/loss potential involved in trading.
