This review is from: Understanding Global Warming with Max Axiom, Super Scientist (Graphic Science series) (Graphic Library: Graphic Science) (Paperback)
One would think that Isabel Soto's text on global warming would be enough, but this text has some interesting differences. Max Axiom gives in-depth analysis of the greenhouse effect, aided by charts. Axiom's second chapter discusses thoroughly the problem of carbon dioxide in our planet. A third chapter covers the effects of global warming in greater detail. And finally, its last chapter illustrates the measures people are taking to prevent greater effects from global warming. Whereas Soto's adventure takes us into a historical account that constantly stresses on the need to be aware of GW's deleterious effects, Max Axiom's text takes a more science textbook approach, explaining concepts and cause-effect relationships with charts and scientific data. Using different approaches and presenting data in different manner, both texts serve to warn us about the future dangers of global warming. They effectively complement each other. This text also addresses the same grade levels that the Isabel Soto's text does.
