Awesome lyrics, vocals and guitar riffs.

This is one of those albums you can listen to all the way through, without realizing its started repeating in the cd player or mediamonkey.

This is possibly the best album of the year, and this year has had some amazing music.

I'm going to start off saying that I can't say this is the best metal cd of the year, mostly because I'm stoked for Devil Wears Prada new one, but I am going to say its one of the best hardcore cds I've ever listened to. It ranks up there with A Day to Remember's Homesick, or For Those Who Have Heart. Its heavy, yet when it is soft its makes the perfect moments in the cd. I have been listening to these guys since Dreams (their EP) and its awesome to hear them grow with each cd. So if you like hardcore, pretty deep meaningful lyrics and just amazing music in general, this cd is for you.

After first listening to WCAR's Dreams EP, I didn't like the singing. After listening to it a few times, they shortly became my favorite band. I got To Plant A Seed for Christmas the year it came out, and I loved it, and they stayed my favorite band. After listening to the Amazon Samples of Understanding What We've Grown To Be, I thought that a lot of the songs seemed like any other band. After listening to the CD, I realized how wrong I was. This is one of the most amazing CDs I've ever heard, and I'm completely happy that I bought it. Go out and buy it and support them. They're DEFINITELY my favorite band and it will stay that way. I'd give it 100 stars if I could.

This band was suggested by Amazon when looking at the albums of my all time favorite band, Poison The Well. I took a chance and bought this album without hearing much of their sound and I am so glad I did!

This band goes from melodic to hardcore, in your face sound in an instant. It has a good mix of singing and screaming. And the lyrics are actually complex and meaningful rather than just simple, childish angst.

Room filling, heart filling, just all around good quality sound. I have only been getting into the metalcore scene since may 2010, and they embody what I see as the perfect mix of harmonically driven soundscapes infused with a heavy atmosphere and a serious contrast between songs. This is one of those albums you can listen to all the way through, without realizing its started repeating in the cd player or mediamonkey. Oh so fresh.

I would recommend this to people who dont want an extremely "screamy" or heavy sound with their breakdowns and harmonically driven metalcore/hardcore but like the progressive sound that comes with quality albums of the style. If you like their style, I highly recommend Sienna Skies, House vs. Hurricane, and The Browning.

WCAR is known for having great lyrics and emotional music. They up the emotion on this release. The music is slightly better in catchyness and the sound is absolutely immaculate (great). This is very solid and comes very close to TDWP's new album in my opinion. If you wanted WCAR to improve or just be good 'ol WCAR, this album is it. Support them and pick this album up. It won't disappoint.

ok for starters ill admit theres nothing new here basically that wcar pulled off, but that could be the beauty of it, not one dissapointing song for this sophmore release (unless you count the ep of course) and i thought they might fall after such a huge first cd that was going to be hard to top. i mean the energy and the musicianship has def increased from the prior release its solid, absoulutly solid one of the best cds to fall into the shelves this yr and thats saying a lot considering i listen to everyhing from adtr and wonder years...to white chapel and winds of plague and so on...its beautiful and heavy, the heart, the crushing sounds, and the quality its sooo perfect what i honestly think the last cd was missing a bit has been set in stone here. dont get me wrong though the last cd does too but it lacked in talent somewhat. i mean i loved it, but it did, but i recommend picking understanding what we've grown to be up if you like these guys its progression in detail is more than one might think..its promise is incredible and surprising to say the least for the genre most bands crumble quickly in my opinion in the metalcore scene as soon as popularity contests come into play sadly mostly because the heavyness gets extremely weak. not here great cd all around no missed marks seriously buy it

Awesome lyrics, vocals and guitar riffs. Must have for metalcore fans out there. Plus side is that they do not have cussing and its safe for any age.
