WHAT DO YOUR RELATIONSHIPS SAY ABOUT HOW YOU RELATE TO GOD? Life is all about relationships. And how we relate to others reveals a lot about how we relate to God. But relationships are fragile, and it doesn’t take much to set them off course. Ironically, it’s when our relationships are on edge that we are best suited to grow-personally, spiritually, and relationally. In Understanding Who You Are, Dr. Larry Crabb reveals five key truths about people, helping us examine the way we respond to relational problems and discover the underlying issues that set our relationships off track. 5.0 out of 5 stars Why hasn't anyone recommended this book to me before?, March 24, 2000
By
NuncVideo (Seattle, Washington United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Understanding Who You Are: What Your Relationships Tell You About Yourself (Paperback)
I've only finished the first chapter, so perhaps this review is premature, but I've been deeply struck so far. My only question is, why hasn't anyone recommended this book to me before? Or, why haven't I come across this perspective anywhere else? It represents an approach to solving one's problems that is fundamentally orthogonal to everything else out there, in both the church, and the world. So far, I would recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short but Sweet, February 28, 2007
By
This review is from: Understanding Who You Are: What Your Relationships Tell You About Yourself (Paperback)
As always, Larry Crabb's insight into relationships, the human psyche, and the link between the emotional and spiritual shines through in this short but sweet book. Mostly meant to whet your appetite for deeper study, this book provokes deeper contemplation of both one's relationships with humans and the Divine. A good read if you are traveling and don't want to lug around a larger book, or if you simply want a taste of what Larry Crabb is all about.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Manual for the Soul, April 24, 2011
This review is from: Understanding Who You Are: What Your Relationships Tell You About Yourself (Paperback)
This booklet does an amazing job of looking at the hidden desires and explanations of who we are. I've never read a better summary of how we develop as humans based on the relationships around us. Totally worth reading. The chapters are short, but really meaty and you'll have to go slow through them.
