Undertow is one of the Greatest albums ever. Period. This "clean" album was released for Walmart, who refused to sell the CD with the original art work. I assume that tool put the barcode to show that walmart doesnt care about music or art at all. Just money.
Get the real one. Dont stand for the butchery of art.

Tool is more than just music, it's an experience as a whole, to be taken in just like one of class would slowly let a fine wine linger on his palatte, so must Tool be enjoyed to the fullest extent by repetitive listening and a respect of their reach. A friend of mine suggests that they are much like Pink Floyd, only a little darker...but this is a time for those that have the scope to express what the mind sees, and Tool does it almost effortlessly...if you don't buy Tool, you miss the chance to more fully enrich your life...

Ok ok. So you wanna get the edited version of Undertow.
The music is not edited, the artwork is though.
Instead of the ribcage and the nude artwork in the book
what you get is the barcode and in certain versions a message from tool.
So just get the original. The cd is great and is the best tool cd.

A very powerful album for its time, Tool broke new ground with this album. The first few songs are the best. The album seems to taper off towards the end and gets a bit repetitive. Henry Rollins adds a few great words in the song "Bottom". If you like Sober, then you will definitely like this album. It rocks! If you don't like Tool's "Artsy" side, then get this album or Opiate. They are both more traditional sounding rock...but with an edge. A razor-sharp knife edge.

When I bought this album I only listen to Prison Sex and Sober and about a month later I realized how stupid I was for that...This album shows the true energy of the band much better than opiate or aenima...

An album by Tool. That is all you need to know to buy it, but this is better than expected. From the boys who brought you Aenima, here is something you can't help but love. Tool has made something for all you people who are into any kind of punk or rock. Tool shows us once again why they will live on.

Well I have the original version of the Undertow cd which by the way is fantastic. But I wanted an edited version so I could play the cd in public without offending people by the profanity. I was sorely dissapointed when this cd arrived in the mail. The music is not censored at all. Only the artwork. So now I have 2 copies of the cd. That is totally unacceptable and I don't think it should be sold as an "edited" version. It's a friggin trick.

Although Tool is mostly known for its hit AEnima, one should not ignore Undertow, which I believe is better! This is a rare album in which every song is 100% listenable and good, and songs like Prison Sex, Sober, and 4 degrees fully round out the album. My advice, buy this album now if you like metal, rock, or music that is deeper than just some guy screaming and cursing into the mic!

This is the best Tool album out there! I have it, as well as Ænema, and Opiet. I know everything about 'em, have a site about 'em, and I would know which album is the best! and this ones it! I'm not happy that its not selling good here, i guess I take it personal when people don't take Tool to the full extent... They rule! This Cd rules, all their Cd's rule! and all their songs rule! I love 'em!!

This CD is great...I learned about Tool through Rage Against the Machine (the best band in the universe.) I really like how Maynard sings, it's quite different than hearing Zach de la Rocha scream. I also think the humor is great. Buy the CD and you'll know what I mean.
