I have worked as a commercial/shipyard diver for over 22 years. I have used many different underwater light in all kinds of conditions. This one has been the best. Here is why-

- Will work in freezing conditions, I have broke ice to dive and the light stayed bright for several hours. Underwater. In the dark. I was to cold and had to quit.
- Will work in very hot conditions. I have used the light in closed tanks with a temperature of over 120 degrees. The light outlasted my best effort. I had to go get a drink of water.
- Will stay on for at least two days. I dropped light and another diver found two days later. He was diving at night and found it because it was still shining, and he was attracted to the bright light.
- Will work after being dropped at least 15'. This happened when I was working on my house. The light works great out of the water to.
- Light is kid-proof and dog resistant. Although the dog (or kids) left chew marks, it still works.
- Can be used as a hammer. Yes I did that, I was to lazy to swim to the surface and find a hammer.
- The light is very, very bright.

Here is some advice not in the manual.

- If you unscrew the bezel too far the whole thing will pop apart. When this happened (only once), I rinsed with fresh water and dried. I put it all back together with the same batteries and it worked. When the light goes off, stop screwing (literally) with it. I think might have been user error. Divers are rarely wrong though. Decide for yourself.

- The one and only o-ring can be pinched if you don't lube it after putting new batteries in. I have used silicone, motor oil, soap, and oil from my skin (crease of my nose) to lube the o-ring. All worked fine with no problems.
