This thing is great.,
This review is from: Underwater case for the following CANON Powershot SX100IS (Electronics)
Keep in mind, I purchased it for my Canon SD1000 not for a Casio digital camera. I know you're scared. But to test it out, put a folded paper towel on the inside of it, fill your sink with water and hold it under water for as long as you want. Take it out and TADA! Dry paper towel. Now throw your camera in there and be on your way.Pros: It most definitely is waterproof. Works great in the pool, jacuzzi, and ocean (salt water). The lens area is very clear so you wont have to worry about blurry pix. You'll have loads of people asking you where you got it. Cons: They didn't make a DSLR sized one yet *hint hint cough cough* Doesn't "fit" all cameras. But you'll get over it as long as it fits in there. I'm surprised more people haven't purchased this.

wow, with the previous reviews i feel bad about giving this such a thumbs down rating but here goes:first the positives: (1) price, (2) it doesn't leak. but that's about it. here's my gripes: (1) on a canon G10 the camera just slides around inside, (2) the ring holding the lens tube hides the flash so don't expect to get any extra lighting help from your built-in flash, (3)the lens tube is so long that it constantly vignettes the images so you have to zoom way out to prevent it - this also causes the lens to be "slower", (4) you can't turn any of the controls on the top and it's such a pain to zoom, turn camera on/off or even take a picture,(5)even with the camera lens extended it still shifts around inside the pouch. remember, this review is based on a Canon G10. this product may work a lot better on other cameras. i wish i hadn't waited so long to use this otherwise i would have returned it right away. my bad, i guess.

Pros: Waterproof, lightweight, floats, inexpensiveCons: Lens cover sometimes appears in shots (avoidable - see below), Difficult to adjust camera settings. Used a 27 exposure Fuji disposable camera on my last snorkeling trip. The disposable camera did not allow me to review my pictures, and because of the limited number of exposures, I found myself being extra conservative with my shots. The quality of the pictures was suprisingly good, but after about $25 (camera and processing), and only 7 good pictures in the end, it was an expensive option. For my recent trip to Hawaii, I decided that it would be wise to invest in a new waterproof camera or a waterproof camera case. I'm glad I decided to save money by purchasing the DiCAPac waterproof bag. For a little more than the cost of 2 disposable camera's with processing, I ended up with several hundred high quality snorkeling photos and videos. I highly recommend this product. Usage tips: 1. To avoid seeing the lense cover black ring from showing up in your shots, remove all of the air from the bag before closing. My bag was still able to float without all of the air, and the camera stayed in place inside the bag. 2. Before loading the camera into the case, pre-adjust all of the settings you want. On my camera (Canon SX100IS), the Aquarium setting worked great underwater. I also used the macro setting for fish photos, and occasionally zoomed.... both of which could only be set after the camera was turned on. No Flash was needed. 3. Always start with fresh batteries, as you will probably want to leave the camera powered on during your entire dive or snorkel. I recommend extended life rechargables, such as Maha Powerex 2700mAh or IMEDION 2100mAh. 4. Avoid the temptation to take your camera out of the bag while you are at the beach. Blowing sand can wreak havoc with your camera's automatic lens cover. 5. Use the largest and fastest media card you can afford. I use a 16GB Class 10 SDHC card. The Class 10 card allows me to take continuous photos at a blistering pace, and of course the 16 GB card ensures that I don't run out of space, especially when taking lots of underwater video. 6. Always clean the outside of the case with fresh, clean water soon after use, especially if you use it in salt water.

During last trip the camera would have been ruined if not for the case. It's a little difficult if you want to change settings or zoom or use dials other than just push a button to take pictures. If you have simple point and shoot it will work fine. Does what it's disigned to do.
