5.0 out of 5 stars A Story of Survival on the Streets (and below them), January 21, 2006
This review is from: Underworld Pb Bk1# (Underworld trilogy) (Paperback)
I read this book way back in 1992 at age 14. I didn't like reading, but I finished this book in 3 days. It's a fantastic tale of people who live in London's Subway Tunnels. The characters include teenage runaways, homeless people, escaped mental patients, drug addicts, and the recurring character, Stick Moloy.

Stick Moloy is an all-purpose criminal who terrorizes everyone, using the tunnels as a hideout. He comes off like "Begbie" in Trainspotting, but even worse. In each of the 3 books, 2 or more teenages run away from home and wind up in the tunnels. They search for scraps of food, do their best to find their way in the dark, and try to avoid Stick.
