Overproduced. The first single, All About Us, was great. Everything else was way overproduced and her voice was not showcased as it should have been. Too much Scott Storch and not enough Brooke Hogan.

this woman can sing, but the songs on this cd are too simple, too hip hop, and just too much with trying to be like everyone else in the industry.....i know she has most likely written some music of her own which is really great, but it needs to be shown to the world.....if she hasn't written some really good original stuff, then she may just do extremely well if she had producers who could focus on the ballad power of her beautiful voice.....ie early Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston era type songs........she would sure hit a winner with that genre of music......you go Brooke!!!

Brooke Hogan - Undiscovered,

The Up Side: Good production is the key to any great record. On the other hand, it also keeps really bad ones from falling into file 13. In the case of Brooke Hogan and Undiscovered, the latter will apply. You don't really have to have a stellar singing voice or great lyrics in today's teen pop music scene, but good production is a must. Undiscovered is very well produced, mixed, mastered and recorded.
The Down Side: Good production alone can't make you a superstar outside of the teen pop circuit. Ms. Hogan really has nothing else to bring to the table aside from a big budget, and with singers like Kelly Clarkson and Christina Agulera already crossing over into mainstream territory (i.e. adult top 40), there isn't really a need for someone as average as Brooke to get mega famous. The Flip Side: Brooke Hogan is an attractive young lady, but Undiscovered's cover art would like you to believe otherwise. The first time I saw this record in stores, I thought "My God, she looks like a man"! Visual first impressions are sometimes more lasting than audible ones, so better cover art should have been top priortiy before releasing Undiscovered. The conclusion: There are a few dance pop winners on this 14 track collection, but for the most part, Undiscovered fails to catch the ear. In a bubble as small as teen pop, Brooke could go along way, but voice lessons and better song writers are a must if she expects to be playing on a radio station near you. The End.
