Overproduced. The first single, All About Us, was great. Everything else was way overproduced and her voice was not showcased as it should have been. Too much Scott Storch and not enough Brooke Hogan.

this woman can sing, but the songs on this cd are too simple, too hip hop, and just too much with trying to be like everyone else in the industry.....i know she has most likely written some music of her own which is really great, but it needs to be shown to the world.....if she hasn't written some really good original stuff, then she may just do extremely well if she had producers who could focus on the ballad power of her beautiful voice.....ie early Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston era type songs........she would sure hit a winner with that genre of music......you go Brooke!!!

Brooke Hogan - Undiscovered,

The Up Side: Good production is the key to any great record. On the other hand, it also keeps really bad ones from falling into file 13. In the case of Brooke Hogan and Undiscovered, the latter will apply. You don't really have to have a stellar singing voice or great lyrics in today's teen pop music scene, but good production is a must. Undiscovered is very well produced, mixed, mastered and recorded.
The Down Side: Good production alone can't make you a superstar outside of the teen pop circuit. Ms. Hogan really has nothing else to bring to the table aside from a big budget, and with singers like Kelly Clarkson and Christina Agulera already crossing over into mainstream territory (i.e. adult top 40), there isn't really a need for someone as average as Brooke to get mega famous. The Flip Side: Brooke Hogan is an attractive young lady, but Undiscovered's cover art would like you to believe otherwise. The first time I saw this record in stores, I thought "My God, she looks like a man"! Visual first impressions are sometimes more lasting than audible ones, so better cover art should have been top priortiy before releasing Undiscovered. The conclusion: There are a few dance pop winners on this 14 track collection, but for the most part, Undiscovered fails to catch the ear. In a bubble as small as teen pop, Brooke could go along way, but voice lessons and better song writers are a must if she expects to be playing on a radio station near you. The End.

bad. Everything from the corny beats to the bad lyrics (even by pure pop standards) this is a bad album.
She's in the wrong genre and her label is clearly oblivious to that. Bummer for her. Maybe when she comes into her own, she'll realize that this album was a waste of time and money and move to something more classy - you can just tell this isn't her...boo!

Music Should be made by artists- not Production Teams!,

Yet another album I was forced to listen to (my friend's daughter who is a teenager). My friend's daughter admittedly likes it but keep in mind my friend never bothered to introduce her to any other music than the crap that is on the radio (and consqquently on this album) I am not critiquing Brook as a person- you can't blame a teen girl for wanting to be famous and it is not her fault her dad is rich/famous- I'm sure many people who whine about that fact would not be whining if in her shoes. However, I am going to critique the music because it's just really really really bad- someone already said "it's as good as anything else on the radio"- that is not a compliment. Obviously that is good enough for the teens who buy this album but as music? Her voice is weak. The songs are overly-produced. The lyrics are interchangable/throwaways. Imagine if there was no overly sexy album cover. Imagine you just heard the songs on the radio. Would you really not want to turn the station? If she really does love music, while it may not make her money, perhaps she should ditch her over-zealous manager and production team, take some time to work on her voice and write songs with substance. And it is possible to make dance music with substance- I'm not lauding her voice but if you caught Madonna's Confessions Tour on TV, you would have seen there was actual meaning behind some of her newest dance songs- amazing stuff, no, but way more substantial than this.

THE END OF AN ERA,
This review is from: Undiscovered (Audio CD)
What's that awful screeching noise you hear when you turn on Brooke Hogan's CD? I'll tell you: It's the music industry scrapping the bottom of the barrel of the Pop Princess Era. The last time I heard such a ghastly sound was in the sad final days of the Boy Band Era; the group was called O-Town. God bless Brooke, I'm sure she is a lovely young woman but she is not a legitimate recording artist.

Didnt know a whole lot about Brooke other than her being Hulk Hogan's daughter. I had heard the song about "About Us" with Paul Wall a few times and thought it was catchy. So i went out on a limb and bought the CD with the exception of a few minor hiccups on the CD. There are a lot of catchy songs with some nice beats from Scott Storch he wrote like 10 songs on the CD i believe. I wasnt going in expecting so great miracle or anything like that. I checked out the cd from beginning to end and came away pleasantly suprised. If she sticks around a bit and gets more into the writing aspect of things. It will go along way to helping her overall. With that being said, rock on Brooke and keep bringing it.
Some of my favorite tracks on the CD include: "About Us" feat Paul Wall "Next Time" "For A Moment" "My Space" "My Number" and "Beautiful Transformation" plenty of tracks on "Undiscovered" to get you dancing and 2 or 3 for the slow jam folks. Later.

Hogan Does Not Know Best,

For those who have watched the reality show Hogan Knows Best, you will already know Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke is TRYING to have a singing career. Well after listening her first CD, my suggestion is retire now!
Scott Storch has beeen a decent music producer. However his sound choices may come into question, when you judge the merit of this CD. However, there are two great cuts on this CD. A Nelly Furtado written Heaven Baby (which sounds like Nelly leftover which was left off her HIT CD) which Brooke does a nice job mocking Nelly's style and sound. The other is the hip hop-ish Incognito, which has a nice beat Brooke Hogan can keep a tune better than Paris Hilton and just under Traci Lords (remember her disco type single many years ago). After listening to this weak effort, I have to ask HULK HOGAN a really big favor...DONT HURT ME for being honest! Bennet Pomerantz AUDIOWORLD

Looks like the promoters have been here,

The album sucks...read the 1 star reviews for the truth. Anyone that gave this 5 stars MUST be deaf, or work for the Hogans. Find something that you are good at because it isn't music. Sorry that you spent 3 million out of pocket HUlk to try and buy your daughter fame, but it just isn't going to happen with music.

Brooke Hogan's Undiscovered album is the worst 12 dollars I have ever spent! I was very curious to see what her album was going to be like. Storch can usually crank out a few hits and with that TV Show and all who wouldn't want to give it a listen? But WOW I was really disappointed. Does she even have a vocal range? When Paris Hilton's album is better than yours, you know you've done something wrong. Vocally this is pathetic and puts shame to people who really have talent. Musically, she has about 3 decent songs. About Us isn't too bad, Next Time is all right, and I can listen to at least half of Dance Alone. But other than that this album is pure disgusting. You should make your kids listen to it as a form of punishment; I guarantee they'll never act up again! I know I am hating really hard but c'mon this album is gross. I'm not even going to get into her live performers. But she makes Brittany and Ashley seem like amazing sip sinkers. Keep in mind I listened to this album with a positive mind at first. But that positive mindset changed after the first 2 songs. There's a reason it took sooo long for her to get a record deal. The only reason she got this deal was because Scott wanted to fill up his time and wallet since Christina dumped him. Sorry Brooke maybe next time. (But probably not)
