I was hoping this strategy guide would help me master the finer points of this complex game, especially when it comes to create-a-fighter mode. I was also hoping for advice on fighting technique, ground game, and executing submissions -- all the stuff people struggle with and speculate on in the online forums.

I would say that 80% of this strategy guide consists of bios of the built-in fighters. The main benefit is that it has the complete moves list for all strikes and transitions. It's basically what the instruction manual should have been. I am disappointed.

70% of book is just fighter info, but the first section is very helpful, mush more in depth than the games instruction manual, totally worth the money.

i love this game.

my friend and i got this book and here is my thought (which he shared)

-first 1/4 of the book is very good. great strategies, good summary of moves
-the rest of the book is kinda worthless. i mean its nice to have all the fighters in the game with reviews and history.. i just wanted more about the game. if thats even possible.
-more strategies perhaps should have been added (if player does this, do this-this-or that)..
-worth $13 at amazon? YES.. worth $20 at best buy or gamestop NO.. (throw tax in there with them and the price gets up there)

The guide showed me things that if you do not have the stradagey guide you won't know, and it help me be a Champ its a must have if you would like to know how each fighter fights!
