Undone is Unreal,
By Peter L. (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Undone (Audio CD)
I came to Undone after endlessly listening to their other cds in progression, all of which I would rate five stars. In spite of the fact that some of the best worship songs ever written can be found on some of their other cds, I think this is their absolute best as an overall album, with some equally powerful individual songs. The musicianship alone will thrill you, but the power in the lyrics brings you right into the worship experience. Bart Millard's awesome voice seems to get better and better. Each one of their cds is a different listening experience, and from these ears, growing in impact. I also saw them in concert this past summer. Do not miss them if you get the chance! As a contemporary worship and gospel guitarist, I am awed and humbled by the seamless creativity of the two guitarists on this cd. If I listed favorites, I'd end up listing all of them. Ok, my favorites at the moment are, "Here with Me," "Homesick," "Caught up in the Middle," and "Undone." Also, for the best "Christmas Album" ever, check out Mercy Me's "The Christmas Sessions."

Missing Something,
By Mark Baker (Santa Clarita, CA United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Undone (Audio CD)
I finally broke down and got my first Mercy Me CD at the beginning of the year. I immediately fell in love with their lyrics and style and quickly got their second release. By the time this CD came out, I was waiting anxiously to see where they went next.
Unfortunately, I wasn't as happy with this CD as with their first two. The lyrics seem to lack the passion and insight of their previous releases. And it might partially be that I've listened to too much Mercy Me to close together, but their style seems the same, and many of the songs just run together. However, there are a few that do stand out. "Homesick" expertly summarizes the mourning that a Christian does. It deserves that success it had this year at the radio. "A Million Miles Away" caught my attention right away. I always need reminders that God is near, and this is a cleaver one. "Undone" is a poetic reminder of what God has given us in Christ. And "Keep Singing" is a very tender song of comfort and pressing on in the face of tragedy. There are some songs that are well worth it on this CD, and fans will love it. For those interested in Mercy Me but unfamiliar with their music, I recommend you start with one of their other CD's.

How cool is this?,
By Bryan W. (Indianapolis, IN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Undone (Audio CD)
I have probably listened to my Undone CD a hundred times. I love it. These guys are great. And how cool is this? I am reading an awesome book about putting Christ in charge of your life, and the author mentions Mercy Me. He seems to love them too. I think that's great that he gave them a plug in his book. The book by the way, is called Passenger's Side - Putting Jesus Christ in Charge of your Life. Author is John Forosisky. It's the most interesting/exciting Christian book I've read to date. Well, if you are wondering if you'll like Undone, you will. Get it. p.s. Almost There is great too!

This album is so amazing. It can turn a sinner into a believer. MercyMe keeps created better music every time they release another album. By far I love the album Undone because it provides inspiration to those who follow Christ. The lyrics inside the music are not negative, but only positive. I know that if you give this album a chance your be happy with it. It can change me, so I know it can change you.

This is a collection with several good songs and a few very good ones.
Mercy Me has solid Christian lyrics combined with a very pleasant light rock sound. Three songs that really stand out on this CD are the following: 'Here With Me', 'In The Blink of An Eye', and 'Homesick'. It is pretty good for all ages.

Best work ever,
By
This review is from: Undone (Audio CD)
I've been a fan of MercyMe since their loweliest beginnings and think Undone is their best CD yet. It has a much more rock feel than their earlier works and seems to represent more of the band's own personality.
I can honestly say there is not a song on this CD I don't love. It's among my favorites and spins in my CD player at least weekly. My fav at the moment is "In the Blink of an Eye" which is much livelier than the ballads MercyMe is so well-known for. Don't get me wrong though, as MercyMe certainly hasn't undergone any major transformations. God gifted Bart Millard with a wonderful voice which has only strengthened here. The additional guitar has allowed the band to grow musically as well. Undone is by far MercyMe's best collection yet and I can hardly wait to see how their ministry will grow.

thank god for bands like mercy me,
By montace "mrm" (jackson, new jersey) - See all my reviews

i think this album is great. i was reading alot of the other reviews and just had to write in response to some of them. i know we all hear music differently. some people seem to listen and hear mainly lyrics. i always hear the melody and the mix of the instuments. the lyrics for me are a bonus. with many of mercyme songs a huge bonus. now, that being said, not every song can be a hit. some of the other reviewers seem to think that every song should be a number one hit. that would be called selling out. let these bands write and perform from their hearts. there is a song on this cd entitled HERE WITH ME. the music in that song is as good as it gets. the chord structure is awesome. and when you add the extremely well thought out and meaningful lyrics to the music, you have a masterpiece, and that's what that song is to me. i couldn't believe that not one person mentioned this song in any of the reviews until the very last review which actually was the first. mike mcallister had mentioned that HERE WITH ME was his favorite song on the cd. i guess mike and i have something in common. thanks mike, maybe some day we can talk. as far as mercyme goes, i would highly recommend any and everything this band puts out. i feel bad for the people who will never experience bands like this. we are extremely lucky to experience MERCYME. also, the live dvd is a must have.

The best one yet.,

I bought this Mercy Me Cd first after hearing one of their songs at church.. I didn't realize when I bought it that it was the latest release not one of their earlier works. I love this CD.. I have since bought all their stuff I could get my hands on. I while I like all of their Cd's this one is my favorite. I listen to it over and over in the car. I must say that my husband likes their first release better, but one thing we both agree on is that they were all worth the money. I am so glad we gave this group a chance. All three CD's have slightly different styles, but you can expect that as a band grows and matures as a group. In the end their message is the same. Hope everyone gives this and all the other albums from this group a chance. I am glad I did.

New to Christian Rock,
By A Customer
This review is from: Undone (Audio CD)
I have never listed to christian rock, but while on a long drive and after losing my dad and my grandmother in 3 weeks during April, I heard this incredible song that made me feel so grateful that I have God in my life today and that I'm not alone on this long journey of life. The song was 'Here with Me' and this CD is simply AWESOME...
