Book Description

June 1922
Beware the curse composed in verse! The night is cold and clear and starry. Don't walk in the woods, or you'll be sorry. ESPECIALLY if you happen to be the last heir of the Hammands! The "super-sensitive" Miss Luna Bartendale, psychic investigator extraordinaire, has had success in the past laying family curses, but the Monster of Hammand will prove harder than any challenge she has faced before. And Dannow Old Manor is home to more than one secret, with a trail that leads from its Hidden Room to the ancient barrow of a Saxon chieftain and back again -- and from a family legacy birthed in the Bronze Age to the Twilight of the Gods!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Undying Monster, April 25, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Undying Monster (Hardcover)
The plot is good, but the writing is difficult to follow. A dark 1,000 year old family mystery is discovered with the help of a "supersensitive" who can unlock the subconcious "hereditary memory."

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If you're into tales of the supernatural, this is a beauty. Without saying too much, I particularly liked the unusual approach the investigator takes to get to the bottom of the 'problem' the family about which the story is set faces. It might even appeal to fans of old-school horror.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
