The writer tells the continuing story just fine. The bad guys are bad; friends are loyal. But the heroine. Yikes! Ava Parrish is married to Ben,the FBI agent who disappeared in Pulling the Trigger. This man has been kidnapped and tortured and is trying to protect her life, yet she can only focus on the "lies" he has told. She ignores his attempts to keep her safe. She runs, accuses him of running out on her, and was so wishy-washy as to be unlikeable. I found myself yelling at her. Not a good sign. - As I said, the book continues and finished the storyline. So you want to read it. But the frustration...

Nice tie in to previous books. This is a series of mystery based around the murder of a FBI agent. Solid story.
