I originally bought this cd because I'm a big fan of Ewan McGregor. Although I love the song he sings (Sade's "The Sweetest Gift") I was quite surprised when I heard all the other celebs singing their versions of their favourite lullabyes. I was particularly impressed with Scarlett Johansson's voice as she sang "Summertime". As a Beatles fan aswell I love the fact that two of their songs were included, those being "Golden Slumbers" and "Good Night". This is great CD to play if you want to relax and shut the world out for a little while. Highly recommended.

This CD is one beautiful, relaxing song after another. My 3-year old got this dreamy look on her face. And most of the voices are not what you would expect. My favorite unexpected singers are Scarlett Johansen, Lucy Lawless and Teri Hatcher. All very tender. You go, girls!

I, too, loved this lullaby cd. This is different from the typical lullaby cds; it's a bit jazzy which is nice. I think adults, children, and babies will find this soothing to the ears! The songs are great for singing to your baby/child and for the whole family to help wind down in the evening. I highly recommend this cd. I especially love Scarlett Johansson's rendition of "Summertime", John Stamos' "Goodnight My Angel" (a Billy Joel song) and Ewan McGregor's "The Sweetest Gift" (a Sade song). Unexpected Dreams is an unexpected delight!

I bought this out of curiosity - Scarlett singing? Jennifer Garner singing? They really can sing. I played the CD for some friends - we ended up listening and playing "guess who this is?" One surprise after another - and very relaxing too. I really enjoy it.

This is actually a really good cd. I got it for a friends child who turned 1 the other day and we listened to it together with the baby.
There are some beautiful songs here, and surprisingly, the stars singing them do a very good job. I love the array of celebrities on this. I especially love Summertime (Scarlette Johanson), Goodnight My Angel (the gorgeous John Stamos) - sung very well, Little Child (Lucy Lawless - who knew?) and My Heart Is So Full Of You (Jennifer Garner).
I just think that this is an excellent cd for your child or a gift for another child. You'll love it because the songs are great and we all know the celebs, but it's so soothing and sweet for a little baby.

You know I would like to ask the big record execs to take a look at the baby boomer demographic, and endless number of parents in their 30's and 40's,and wise up after being pathetically lacking in providing product for the above gigantic market.
This cd is surprisingly wonderful. It doesn't matter what kind of music you usually listen to...you will like this. If you are a parent you will love it.

I wasn't sure If this was going to be that great of a CD, but got it anyways since I loved one of the songs. Every song is absolutely amazing. The CD flows extremely well, and the vocals are surprising great. My favorite's are "Little Child" Lucy's voice is stunning and calm. Scarlett's "Summertime" is a classic song. And Ewan McGregor has great vocals singing "The Sweetest Gift"

What a great concept --I just LOVED this CD! I listen to it over and over! The songs are soooo beautiful and moving. I LOVE Victor Garber singing "No One is Alone". Tarji P. Henson's "In My Daughter's Eyes" is killer -- it's gorgeous. And, Scarlett Johansson is amazing. She should make her own CD! She's awesome on "Summertime"!!!!!
And, if you are a pure music lover -- just listen to the orchestrations by Brad Ellis.
He seems to create a whole new atmosphere and perfect little setting for each song.
I've heard other things by him, and the producers were very smart to have him shape the album's texture. I was so surprised by this CD-- I think it would make a great gift for Mother's Day!

Wow, I can't believe how much I really enjoy listening to this album. It's amazing that some of these actors can sing this well and we've never heard them before. Some are really fantastic - a few are just good. But, I highly reccomend it. Very relaxing and soothing at the end of the day. I know it's old news but I just bought Norah Jones first album and it's really great. No wonder it was such a big hit.

I received this fabulous CD as a gift before the birth of my second child. Intended for my new baby, I popped it into the CD player for my 6 year old and she loved it! But what was the most unexpected about the album was how much I loved the music....perfect way to end a hectic day (or a respite for mama as I put the kids down for their naps). I am so sick of the insipid, shrill music that is marketed for kids. This is great quality music that both parents and children can enjoy together - Scarlett Johansson's rendition of Summertime is gorgeous. Who knew some of my favorite stars could sing so well? Listening to Unexpected Dreams has become a tradition for me and my little ones....I highly recommend it to other moms or to anyone in need of a little tonic to our hectic lives. Enjoy!
