It was a pleasure reading Ms. Nyrae's new book Unexpected Mr. Right. I read the first book of the series, Getting Lucky with Luciano last year and fell in love with Ms. Nyrae's writing. This was another great story from this wonderful author. The characters were so real. I felt that they were long lost friends and now that I am finished reading the book I miss them all. Nico is a great male lead. We get to see that he is more then a playboy. He has a lot of substance and in the end he is a very good man. We also get a chance to find out why Tabby has been so unlucky in love. When she is finally able to find the real thing she is so scared that she almost misses it. I won't say more because I don't want to spoil the story. Just know this is a thoroughly enjoyable story of love, healing, and friendship that will pull on your heartstrings and make you laugh with delight. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a well written and heartfelt love story. Great job Ms. Nyrae....Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us this year!

Tabitha Harris is one of those women who dreams of the fairy tale life, the white picket fence, the model husband and the 2.5 kids. Unfortunately, when she enters most relationships she does so, with the frame of mind that she will end up in her fairy tale life. But too many failed relationships with too many Mr. Wrongs have schooled Tabitha. She does not want another heart-breaker, which is why she will not give the sexy and happily single Italian chef, Nico Valenti, the time of day. Attraction be damned!

Nico, on the other hand, is utterly fascinated with the beautiful African American, Tabitha. When he sees that she has no interest in having a simple fling with him, he is determined to find a way to spend more time with her. A proposed platonic friendship is Nico's suggestion to Tabitha, one to which she agrees. Will friendship be enough for two people attracted to each other?

Unexpected Mr. Right by Kelley Nyrae is a sweet read! Many readers will find the Tabitha and Nico characters realistic and easily understandable. Kelley Nyrae has written a book that has a smooth flow. The story moves along at a great pace that continuously pulls in the reader and holds their attention until the end. Unexpected Mr. Right is a quick enjoyable read and one that I recommend.

Tabitha Harris has dreams of meeting the perfect man to settle down with and have a family. So far, it has just been a dream because none of the men she meets are interested. While helping her best friend, Kaylee, plan her wedding, she meets the groom's cousin, Nico. The two of them run a restaurant and Nico is the chef. He is very handsome but has a rather seedy reputation of having one-night-stands. He lets everyone know he has no intention of ever settling down. He is attracted to Tabitha, just as she is to him, but the first time he kisses her, another woman interrupts them; so Tabitha slaps him and leaves. Nico nicknames her `Slugger' and the hostilities between them continue for quite a while. Nico goes out of his way to patch things up and get to know Tabitha better. Tabitha falls for him in a big way, but she doesn't let her friends know because even though they are aware of her dreams they know Nico just isn't the man for her. Can this love affair evolve into something both Nico and Tabitha can enjoy?

Kelley Nyrae has written a hot, steamy romance novel that shows how two people who are exact opposites can actually attract each other. The characters are well-developed and the plot is filled with tension as the two do their dance around each other. If you are a romance fan, this UNEXPECTED MR. RIGHT is a book you shouldn't miss.

This is the 1st time I ever read anything by this author. I read the reviews by other readers and felt the pros out weighed the cons; however, I found this book rather boring. I put this put down too many times because Tabby and Nico became a little too boring for my taste. Tabby has had terrible relationships in her past which again stems from her childhood. Nico is a likable character dubbed as "player", but he wasn't very convincing to me. Both has the "hots" for each other, but it's Tabby's character that makes this book a snoozer for me. It's an ok read, but I was looking for a little more excitement from these characters. I hope the author does something with Bri and Jackson characters because they seem a lot more interesting than Tabby and Nico.

People have already wrote on what the book was about, so I will just give my own personal opinion.

First off, If I could, I would give the book 2.5 stars. It was simply, OK to me. I feel that it was very predictable and at times and repetitive. Example: In the book, Tabby talks about how blessed she was to have her 2 best friends... a magnitude of times.

Secondly, the sex scenes to me were average. Maybe this is amazon's doing but for this book to be classified as "erotica", it feel short of that glory. I feel like the sex scenes were rushed and maybe lacked what I was looking for in an "erotica" book and that's intimacy.

Thirdly, again, I'm not sure if this is Amazon's doing but there were several typos in the PC Kindle Edition. It was almost as if I was reading the rough copy. There were arrows, unfinished sentences and words throughout the entire book as well as other marks I've never seen before.

This was my first time for reading anything by the author and maybe I will giver her another shot by picking up another book of hers but it won't be anytime soon. I found myself skipping over certain parts because it wasn't interesting. I absolutely love interracial romance/erotica, so it's not the topic that I wasn't interested in. To me, the book was what I considered to be your "standard" IR Romance. It has not luster and a worn out plot I've read countless of times. Very unoriginal if I could say the least.

Since the book is cheap, I would suggest people to pick up a copy and be their own critic but overall, I was not pleased.

After reading her first novel in this series (Getting Lucky With Luciano)...which for me was just an okay read...I MUST admit this was an UNEXPECTED delightful treat...Nico has it going on...he DEFINITELY knows how to tend to a woman's needs...and I absolutely LOVE his sense of humor...I enjoyed Nico and Tabby in the first book and Mrs. Nyrae did NOT disappoint when she put these two together...so despite the typos/editing issues...this is a quick FUN and SEXY read...and I can't wait to see what she has in store for Brianna and Jackson.

It was a very good book, pretty predictable, but very good. I don't like having to edit books in order to read them though.

I was pleasantly surprised by how great this book was.

(-0 Stars) This book was well written with great story progression.

(-0 Stars) The characters were well developed with Nico being a non-traditional hero, but maintaining his alpha status nonetheless. Tabby was strong and willing to love Nico despite her past pain.

(-0 Stars) The plot was believable with a slow and growing love between the hero and heroine.

Wonderful book.

This is my first book by this author and I've got to say she has fan forever!! This is the sequel to getting lucking with Luciano, which is about Tabitha's friend Kaylee and Luciano. I haven't read yet but it's next on my list!!!! Although Tabitha could be a pain in the butt at times, it doesn't take away from the book. She was strong and didn't let others tell her how to live her life. Having said that onto Nico, he was very sweet, possesive, and hot!! The sex scenes were hot too!!! I hope the author plans on doing another installment with Bri and Jackson cause I know that will be another winner too!!!! Anyways if you want a great book to read with a cup of tea definitely pick this up you won't be disappointed.

It was a good story. Could be longer but if you are looking for a quick read- enjoy...
