If you like humor based on wordplay, then this is a book you will enjoy, December 9, 2008
This review is from: Unexplained Sniglets of the Universe (Paperback)
Wordplay, specifically creating words from syllables that have the right sounds, is a form of humor like no other. No person or group is the butt of the joke and many of them require a bit of thought. Done right, they can amuse and impress you, as they are often the result of a very creative imagination. Some examples are:
*) Peepola - the gap in the dressing room curtain that can never be completely closed.
*) Pastaplegic - person who's eaten so much spaghetti he can't move.
*) Garbpaction - the act of cramming just one more item into a garbage can to avoid emptying it.
*) Choctasy - the joy of discovering a second layer of chocolates under the first.
If you like humor based on wordplay, then this is a book you will enjoy. No side-splitters, just a series of humorous phrases.
