Out of Control,
This review is from: Unfaithful (Paperback)
When fantasy and desire become obsession, someone is bound to not only get heart-broken, but hurt. Two couples, husbands and wives, and best of friends; what could go wrong to rock the love and bond they have for each other? Ryan's one night in Devon Scott's Unfaithful sent emotions running wild, and people clutching their chests, just above the heart.
Ryan fantasized of Olivia, a woman forbidden to him, for reasons obvious to him and everyone around; the situation takes a turn when her husband, Miles, Ryan's best friend, confronted him about his obsession over an action that happened. Unfortunately, this confrontation sent Ryan and his emotions careening out of control; making choices that would affect more than him and Miles, but also their wives, Carly and Olivia. All four of these individuals, are supposed to be friends, but friends do not hold secrets unless they have something to hide. Who was hiding something and why, more important, what were they hiding? Devon Scott delivered an awesome fast-paced, laced with jaw-dropping shock, drama, and raw emotions in Unfaithful. It only takes one bad judgment to redirect the trust and bond that is used to maintain a secure and happy relationship. While reading, at times I felt like a character should have been yelling and screaming, but instead she handled a situation she had no control of with dignity and grace. In the world I know, it would have played out differently; it seemed a bit unrealistic to me. I recommend Unfaithful to anyone looking to read a drama-filled and soft erotica story, with characters you either love, hate or feel sorry for. Jennifer Coissiere APOOO BookClub

Things Are Not Always What They Seem,
This review is from: Unfaithful (Paperback)
Ryan appears to have it all: a good job, wife and nice home. But sometimes that's not enough. Olivia is a co-worker and best friend to Ryan, but when secrets come to light, things are not always as they appear, especially when you don't want to know the truth. Sometimes lust comes at a price, leaving consequences you have to face for the rest of your life.
The opening storyline for Unfaithful dragged, and I found myself losing focus to continue the story. But as I continued the book, it did eventually pick up towards the middle. I enjoyed the realistic issues the book covered and dealt with. Overall, I think Unfaithful was a solid 3, due to the book not coming together until the end of the book. Damn! Men and Women should all pause!,
By Rhonda Thomas "A lover of Urban Romance Fiction" (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Unfaithful (Paperback)
I enjoyed this story. What a lesson learned for Ryan! I know Ryan did wrong, but boy did he pay for his unfaithfulness. I personally believe he lost his ever-lovin-mind when Miles pulled that switch-a-roux on him! Damn! That was something else!! This was a great story with a great ending. Everyone got what they deserved! I know Alexandria will help Ryan heal some of his pain. Again, good story! This book should be read by ANYONE who even think they may want to have a lustful moment in time. Carly said it the best! You can think about it, but don't be no fool and act upon it, 'cause you will have a price to pay! I will definitely read more books by this author. This was a well written story! It was sad at time, but it had a very serious and uplifting message.

Should U or Shouldn't U...,
By Ms. Kym "Da Friski One" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Unfaithful (Paperback)
You definitely should! Read the book, of course! Then U will think twice about testing waters that should be left alone!!! Well-written, I must say... As the plot thickens, one must wonder who's actually the Unfaithful one... And as a Faithful reader of great literature, I recommend this book to one and all!!! Enjoy!!

A little disappointed.,
By Tiara (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Unfaithful (Kindle Edition)
This book was ok. There were some parts in the book that were explosive but overall, it wasn't consistent. I mean, the tension and drama would intensify but after a while, it would go right back down and get a little boring. It's still ok to buy though.

it was ok. but a bit wordy,
This review is from: Unfaithful (Kindle Edition)
the plot was great and the turn of events were great. however i felt that this piece was a bit wordy and dry. often times i fet myself skipping paragraphs because the poetic language and fluffy lingo became annoying. sometimes the author would use a whole page just to describe the smallest detail of an insignificant object.

Lust Gone Wrong,
By
This review is from: Unfaithful (Paperback)
Married couples Ryan and Carly and Miles and Olivia are all best friends. They share so much. In one night everything changes. Ryan finds himself feeling something more than friendship for Olivia and has reason to believe the feelings are mutual. Where does that leave Miles and Carly?
Devon Scott has penned a story of forbidden wants and desires. He captures the angst and emotions of his characters as well as the understanding that every act has a consequence. For me, the beginning was a little slow, but if readers can get past that, they'll be rewarded with a satisfying read. |
