When using this product as a gelatin substitute: (1) Never let unflavored jel soften in cold water; instead, beat into cold water until dissolved. (2) Avoid adding high-acid lemon and pineapple juice. (3) Jel is quick setting, so speed is essential. (4) Jel cannot be remolded once the mold has set.
