Unforgettable 1920-30: Songs From Hawai'i is one of those CDs that is so full of atmosphere from a time and a place that is sadly long gone; sepia-toned images of the waves crashing on Waikiki Beach come to mind with some of the wonderful songs from early this century on the aloha isles. The sound quality isn't the best on all tracks, but then neither was the recording equipment in those days. If you are looking to paint the picture of a century or so ago in paradise, then this is your background music. Put the CD in the player, mix yourself a mai tai, sit back and relax........

This CD is, as Jerry Pournelle used to write in Byte magazine,
infuriatingly excellant. The music on this CD is excellant.
But the list of tracks is scrambled.

The back of the CD says that track 3 is Hula Girl but Hula Girl
is actually on track 5.

The back of the CD says that track 5 is On the Beach at Waikiki
but On the Beach at Waikiki is actually on track 8.

The back of the CD says that track 14 is Hawaiian Cowboy
but Hawaiian Cowboy is actually on track 17.

The songs sung entirely in Hawaiian must be scrambled too.
I haven't been able figure out the any of the titles of the songs
entirely in Hawaiian.
