Bach in the high life again..., November 1, 2000
This title totally says it all: it is utterly, absolutely, positively, unchallengeably UNFORGETTABLE. It makes all the young girls stand at attention and all the young lads tingle inside (whatever "Markus" says), and me? I, tingling, stand at attention from the second this album begins until I pass out from bliss at the end.The only way this album could be better (and thus merit 5 stars) would be if John Denver were here too. One of my friends told me that there was a duet album in the works (how chilling "Rocky Mountain High" would be next to "What's New Pussycat"!) at the time this album was released... Unfortunately, I can only find cuts from this supposed duet album in my splendidly orchestrated homely dance video dreams... alas.

The Unforgettable Music Of Burt Bacharach, Vintage Tribute Album On The Legacy Entertainment Inc. Label, February 23, 2009
The Unforgettable Music Of Burt Bacharach, Legacy Entertainment Inc., 1997, 1 CD, 10 Tracks.
Cover versions that appear to have been recorded and produced around the late 60's to early 70's.
Most nostalgic.
MCA is accredited for a hand in the licensing and transfer to compact disc.
I pulled up the item routinely on the Amazon Burt Bacharach Heading, but hesitated to purchase it, because I was unfamiliar with the titles.
One of the rare times I've found someone managed to hack into the Amazon Product Description and supply a false Track Listing.
I was unsure what I'd be getting.
The copy I purchased through Amazon was only around 5 dollars with shipping, because it didn't come with the artwork.
I would've liked it to come with some liner notes, but I did not want to take too big of a gamble.
Much to my relief, the first track is not Oriental Haze.
I played the CD in the company of someone who graduated from High School around '65, they enjoyed it, whistling and humming throughout the album.
Very relaxing set of tributes.

The Things I Will Not Miss is a tribute to the song from Lost Horizon.
I highly recommend another tribute album, The Reader's Digest Music Timeless Favorites What The World Needs Now Is... Bacharach & David.
1 CD, 20 Tracks, featuring a number of the world finest band leaders, including Benny Goodman & His Orchestra, and, Nelson Riddle & His Orchestra.
Excellent versions.
I kid you not.

Burt in Full Effect, October 27, 2000
If you read my review of Bach's instrumental album, you might allready have judged me as a "Bacherach slanderer" or just simply "one who hates the big B," but that's simply not true. - It was just his attempt at instrumental music that I didn't like! Now c'mon Burt! It's that golden sweet voice of yours that makes all the young girls tingle inside! It's the command in that voice that keeps all the young lads standing at attention. It's the praise that Jimi Hendrix himself gives you, and he kisses you back when you reach up to kiss that sky! This is the Burt we all know and love. This is the Burt we model our children after. This is the Burt that sends us over the edge into the dreamtime and brings us back by the hand of GOD! Remember, even though hurt rhymes with Burt, your only hurting yourself by not owning this album.
