Unforgettable is unforgettable,
This review is from: Unforgettable (Paperback)
This is the first Meryl Sawyer book I've read, but after this one I read all 10 out of 11 of her books in two weeks. She's excellent! Unforgettable is a fantastic love story with creepy suspense thrown in. The parts in the book that deal with what the villian is thinking gave me chills. Lucky is a character that you can really sympathize with. Watching her grow throughout the story in her relationship with Greg and with the animals is wonderful. I almost didn't read this book because a few of the reviews said that loose ends were not tied up - but they were. The book explained what Lucky was mumbling when Greg first found her and the reasons she looked the way she did. All in all this is a very entertaining book which I highly recommend.

Fabulous story, very innovative,

I bought this book because of the intriguing cover, but as I read the story I became totally captivated. Logan McCord is out training a Search and Rescue dog when he discovers a woman, trapped in a car, near death. He rescues her and she awakens, unable to recall her name. I was expecting another of those amnesia stories. Even so the plot still had me capitivated. I was in for a surprise. This story was more real life than most books. The woman has a head injury and will never remember her name or the past. The mystery unfolds and we discover someone wants her dead, but without a clue to whoshe really is "Lucky" (because she's lucky to be alive) is in trouble. You guessed it! Logan is the man to help her. This book has it all. Romance, sensuality, enough twists and turns to keep you up all night reading.

Still On A Roll With Sawyer,
By
This review is from: Unforgettable (Paperback)
I'm still on my reading streak with Meryl Sawyer. I have to say that I'm glad I discovered this author. I really enjoy the romance, mystery, and suspense she puts in her books. Unforgettable is about Greg Braxton and Dodger, a search and rescue team (Dodger being the dog, which you will just fall in love with!). They find a woman that has run off a cliff in her car. Both save her, but she has lost all her memory, so they call her Lucky, since she can't remember her name. Greg starts to discover clues about Lucky and they soon figure out that someone tried to kill her, not that she ran off the cliff. In Unforgettable there is lots of mystery surrounding Lucky, and her and Greg have to find the answers before the killer strikes again! Unforgettable is a good read!

REPRINT,

This book was excellent, but all of Meryl Sawyer's books are that way. However, beware because this book is a reprint. I read the book about two to three years ago.

Not unforgettable, but pretty darn good.,

Perhaps if Zebra spent as much on publicity as it did on *Unforgettable's* expensive dual-image cover, Meryl Sawyer would rack up the sales of fellow romantic-suspense authors Nora Roberts and Karen Robards. Certainly she deserves the readership for books that take troubled characters and throw them into circumstances that draw them together.
In *Unforgettable*, Greg Braxton is on a training run with his search-and-rescue dog when they find a car wrecked in a ravine, its female passenger bleeding from a head wound. The woman turns out to be suffering from a form of amnesia. Not only can she not remember her name, but even the body reflected in her mirror -- bleached frizzy hair and the wardrobe of a hooker -- is that of a stranger. Greg is attracted to the woman he nicknames Lucky, but having suffered through one marriage with a cheating wife, he's unwilling to enter into a relationship with a woman whose morals seem questionable, to say the least. The evidence mounts against Lucky when the car she wrecked turns out to be stolen, and she's linked to an obnoxious local politician. Nonetheless, when a man shows up claiming to be Lucky's husband, Greg finds himself more anxious to protect her than push her away. Amnesia plots have got to rank among romance novel's most trite. But Sawyer's complex, well-drawn characters bring a freshness even to a soap-opera staple. *Unforgettable* isn't as, well, unforgettable as Sawyer's *A Kiss in the Dark* or *The Hideaway*, but it's definitely a cut above most books in this overcrowded genre.

One of the better books I have read recently.,

This review is from: Unforgettable (Paperback)
This is by far, the best romance I have read in quite some time. Some of the more famous romantic suspense authors publish a new book every year and they begin to sound the same. This book made me go back to the book store and look through the shelves for other well written themes. Her next book, the Hideaway was extremely disappointing. I am hopeful that Meryl Sawyer will write another great book that is at the very least equal to "Unforgettable".

I wouldn't go so far as to say Unforgettable,

I'm a fan of Meryl Sawyer. This particular book however, is not really her best work. The beautiful girl with amnesia falling for her "wary of a realationship because I've been burned" rescuer is certainly not a new theme in the romance department. Even so, the real reason I am ambivilent about the book is that it seems too long winded. Sawyer fans will probably want to read it anyway but if you are not one of her faithful readers, don't bother.

A really unforgettable story,

Courtesy of A Romance ReviewUnforgettable is loaded with suspense, mystery and unexpected plots. Ms Sawyer's talent in plotting a mystery is admirable. The real identify of Lucky is intriguing throughout the story.. With the investigation of the dead hiker and the intervention of FBI, the story becomes more unpredictable. A five stars for a romantic suspense and a story that leaves you unforgettable for a while.

Some romance novels are a bit much for me, but I loved this one. Especially with the unexpected twist near the end.

Simply Unforgettable!,

I loved this book! I might not have bought another amnesia plot because they are usually all the same. Suddenly the person REMEMBERS. But this book has a great twist to the amnesia. I don't want to give it away. There's a fabulous romance here, also. Lucky and Greg are the best, sexiest couple in a long time. This book proves once again why Meryl is a New York Times bestselling author. She delivers. |
