5.0 out of 5 stars Sac Town's best and the world's best
Without a doubt, X Raided is the siccest mc in the entire rap game. I have never heard soemone come so raw and from the heart. Even Pac didn't create such a vivid picture with his words as the X Locsta. Even from behind bars, his lyrics are the what is really going on on the streets. Most of the other rappers you here, especially those from the east coast, talk about...

1.0 out of 5 stars His Bold Proclamation of Forbidden Love
How refreshing to hear a rapper finally acknowledge a certain species of brotherly love that is frowned upon in our uptight Puritanical society, and may even elicit outright shock and guffaws. Harking back to the glory of ancient Greence and the grandeur of ancient Rome, young Mr. Raided (whose real name is Giuseppi Catamiti) has finally proclaimed the Love that hitherto...

Without a doubt, X Raided is the siccest mc in the entire rap game. I have never heard soemone come so raw and from the heart. Even Pac didn't create such a vivid picture with his words as the X Locsta. Even from behind bars, his lyrics are the what is really going on on the streets. Most of the other rappers you here, especially those from the east coast, talk about nonsense. They spend all their energy trying to make "hip hop" in it's original form. In case you haven't noticed, rap has evolved and advanced. A simple beat, sample, and an mc just don't cut it anymore. No one out here in Cali gives a fuck if you think you invented hip hop. Cuzz even if you did, we took it, added some funk and made that shit hella better. Anyway, back to X Raided. This album is a straight masterpiece. Every track is bumpin. He covers all aspects of the game, and all aspects of life. He's been locked up since he was 17 years old. Now he is serving 25- to Life in the pen for murder. X spits THE MOST vicious flows I've ever heard on tracks like WHO IS YALL NIGGAS, MORTAL COMBAT, WHATEVER IT TOOK, SPITTIN VENOM, and MACAFRAMA. Then he brings a deeper aspect to the album with cuts like LAND OF THE LOST, DEAD ON ARRIVAL, and MAMA's PRIDE AND JOY. Dudes in the pen, he's got a lot of shit on his mind, and he lets a lot of it go on this disc. Plus, the production is top notch. Black Market uses a different producer on almost every album, so that's why they are able to keep comin with all these different and original beats and sounds. A lot of people probably don't even know who X Raided is. Don't sleep on him. I've listen to them all. From the BAY to ny. There is no one siccer than RAIDED.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Fav Cd, December 25, 2001

This review is from: The Unforgiven (Audio CD)
By far this is my fav X-Raided album and one of my fav albums in general.Words cant even describe how great and stand out this is.It has so many parts to it that bring the whole cd together. There are songs where he can be serious and be real such as "Mortal Combat","Mama's Pride and Joy","Unforgiven",and "Dead on Arrival".Then there are just the flat out crazy tracks like "Misanthropy",Macaframa","Who is Y'all ..." etc.Overall its really an album to remember. There isnt a bad track on there. Some outshine others but thats only because some of them are almost too good to be true."Mortal Combat" and "Misanthropy" will go down as 2 of my fav songs ever.I was a lil weary to buy this album at first because it was $ at the only store that carried it and i hadn't heard much of it.That was the best money I ever spent.Hopefully this helps others to take a chance and get it.You'll be amazed...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Eva???, August 28, 1999
By
This review is from: The Unforgiven (Audio CD)
I've got all three of X-Raided's albums now, and let me tell you, this isn't just his best album yet, it might be the best rap album eva. This is one of very few albums that can be listened to straight through, without skipping any tracks. The album starts off with a song called "MISANTHROPY", which lets you know right away what kind of album it is; raw, uncut, and sicc. "WHATEVER IT TOOK" and "MACAFRAMA" are just two of the songs that stand out on this album. This is his second record from jail, but unlike the "Exorcist", the lyrics where digitally cleaned up so it sounded like he was in the studio. If I could have rated this record with ten stars, I would have!! Hopefully X will keep makin records like this. Buy this CD!!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Unforgiven (Audio CD)
This is X`s 3rd Solo Album and it is a Classic. He gets deep on this album and isn`t as crazy as his other two albums. He Reminds me of `Pac a bit on this. If you Hip Hop Filled with much emontion then this is for you plus Digital Editing was used to Clean up the bad sound you get from talking over the phone so it has Studio Quility Sound the intere Album
PEACE

5.0 out of 5 stars Who is Gerald Higby??? Don't listen to his review !!!!, October 6, 2005
By

Who is this clown from Natick, MA and how does he have this knowledge about Raided on "good authority?" Just look at this excerpt of his review about a jazz album:

"What everyone else has said here, I wholeheartedly endorse. This is a hauntingly beautiful album, and every real jazz fan knows this."

Mr. Higby does seem like the type that is connected to the California prison system, doesn't he? Seriously, don't listen to some guy from the East Coast who listens to jazz music for a review of a hardcore West Coast album. Even if Mr. Higby's cleverly insinuated suggestions that X-Raided may take part in some unnatural acts in jail are indeed true (which I doubt), it doesn't change the fact that this album is a classic, and displays a great deal of talent and effort (especially in cleaning up the vocals). It is pointless to review this album song by song because I don't think there are really any weak points on the album. By that, I mean you can listen to it the whole way through without wanting to skip over a song. X-Raided is an extremely gifted lyricist and has a rare talent to combine hardcore with clever lyrics (something my hometown Three 6 Mafia can not do). I am tired of seeing rappers like X-Raided getting slept on and seeing these Swisha House guys from Houston with no talent going platinum. I wish I could cancel out those 1-star reviews, because this album deserves 5 stars, easily. Just pick it up here, or whereever you can find it. Then check out his other early works. You will find his other good stuff there, not some of his latest albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars Props to X-Raided LOC, September 21, 2001

Now this is one rapper who hasn't recieved the props he deserves. X-Raided is the siccest rapper on the West Coast since Pac. He keeps it real, that's why he don't get no radio play. The man's in the pen, steady thuggin, puttin it down for that G life. He's been on the gangsta rap scene since the 80
's, and he's not a studio gangsta like most cats theses days. He stays true to his label, BLACK MARKET, and keeps coming out with sicc tracks. As a lyricsist, he has no peer. Come on yall, give the man the props he deserves. I'm out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unfrogiven, June 14, 2000

This review is from: The Unforgiven (Audio CD)
This album, by far is X-Locstas best. His lyrics are real focused and the production it is tight. I am not saying that being incarcerated is a good thing, but it has helped him with his skills. His skills were always tight to me (Psycho active was always a personal best), but when this album came out, it blew my mind. It showed there was mor eto X than the EBK mentality. I let my boy from Long Beach who had never heard of X and Lynch before, and he asked me to get him a copy (this was when I was stationed in Japan). So for those of you who are debating on grabbing a copy of this, click the button to buy. I am out the back door.

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the top 5 gangster albums ever! period!, July 14, 2006

#1, I'm from SoCal, but I got people in damn near every pen there is. I never heard about no homo activity. I hear that he has been moved and segregated before cuz a lot of folks wanna get at him. But either way. Who cares? This is the most lyrical gangster that ever touched a mic. The production on the album is tight. This is a classic album. And whatever anyone wanna say, dude is a killer, he's a real G. Not no kind of studio gangster. no matter where you from, if you're into gangster shi-, then you gonna love this album.
