Really a treat for L'Amour fans!,

This is great! Louis L'Amour sure could write, even when it wasn't about westerns. This audio tape is lots of fun -- the poor guy just gets himself in more and more trouble. The acting is excellent and the story is a blast. This is one of my favorites -- a hidden gem.

I've been a fan of this story ever since I heard it--over ten years ago! Probably one of L'Amour's best, although I will say that some changes have been made from the original text--changes which, in my opinion, actually enhance the plot and character development. The acting is somewhat corny but effective, the music the same. All in all, a suspenseful, enjoyable story. I recommend listening to it at night.
