"Unheard Music" is a beautiful book of stories by Peter Meinke. He writes with a love for his characters that is so transcendent, he makes them family for the short time they are in one's head.
Although Meinke is also known for his prose, he is foremost a poet. This makes his fiction lovely as an example of concision and beauty. His lyricism and ear for rhythm make him an absolute pleasure to read. Highly recommended. Kit in St. Louis
