Michelle Malkin is rapidly becoming one of top ten bloggers with factual information that adds context to the bias of mainstream media. Her new book goes beyond exposing the bias, and focuses on the unfortunately not-so-isolated cases of liberals gone mad. Some of these barely made the papers, but taken together, they are instructive of a left that has taken on bullying ways to 'sell' its agenda. Obviously, none of this works, and is driving less 'passionate' democrats away enough to turn over the numerical advantage to self-confessed conservatives by about 2:1. And numbers like that only drive the left into even greater rage.

Great read although quite scary at times. The venom with which the Left attacks this successful minority woman is staggering. Just as Islam is the religion of peace, the Left is the the ideology of inclusion (unless you happen to be a minority who is an independant thinker). Malkin's book exposes the Left as a hypocritical, mean, divisive force in America today. The best part is that she uses their own words, actions and, especially, e-mails to out them. Congrats to Michelle on a great and humorous look at American politics.

Michelle Malkin not so much demonstrates or argues, but as her subtitle suggests, exposes the hypocrisy and immaturity of the far left's dialogue and discussions in the public square. The far left knows no lows, as many of them willingly distort facts, lie, and rage against those of whom they disagree with (namely conservatives). The left, who in the mass media, congratulate themselves on being enlightened, caring and tolerant, or shown here to be anything but - on all levels.

Since generally speaking, the far left's ideas cannot win in the public square, they often resort to dishonest tactics like professor McKenna's staged "hate crime" by way of vandalism to her vehicle (I remember this making national headlines, then when the truth was exposed, it was barely mentioned). Further, there are those who make the unfair and incorrect comparison between [...]and President Bush, or the 9/11 conspiracy "nuts."

Mrs. Malkin, surprisingly keeps the over-polemic rhetoric scaled down, but then with so much fodder, she really only lets to have people like Churchill, Diaz, Moore, and host of other radical e-mail bloggers speak for themselves. Again, Malkin mostly exposes them and provides some commentary to provide analysis on the hypocrisy and intellectual debasement of many on the far left.

Now, many may argue, and rightly so, that there are many far right wackos as well. The essential difference is that not many on the left pay attention to the far right (after all, I cannot think of one segregationist who is on the Rebuplican ticket in a major city, state, or federal board or program or in the major media outlets). The far left, however, are everywhere and their positions highlighted on morning program shows. Lastly, the ones who claim to be open and tolerant are exposed as anything but.

In addition, the book is an entertaining read.

Wow! Malkin has really hit the spot with this quick, but comprehensive read on how the Democrats and their fellow travellers have lost it since 9/11. By dividing the book into easily digested, topical, anecdotal accounts, she does a wonderful job of capturing how the liberal/left has shown its true colors during one of our nation's most trying times. As I read about the extremism, lies, distortions, ignorance, brutal uncivil behavior, hypocritical doublestandards, and how their "mainstreamers" cover-up or ignore the conduct, I couldn't help but be frightened. I've personally witnessed some of that behavior - it concerned me then, and really bothers me now. As you glide through the pages you can't help but conjure up scenes like the brutal "acts of repudiation" conducted by pro-government crowds against peaceful opponents of Cuba's Marxist dictatorship. It was especially sickening to read how poorly certain Iraq War Veterans were treated simply because they served in or supported the war effort.

With this book, Malkin has done us a favor by compiling the absolutely unconscionable behavior of a political movement, and its media facilitators, that daily displays why they shouldn't be given our popular trust. The book will infuriate the liberal/left (witness the poorly disguised disdain shown in the Publishers Weekly review) because it reveals them for what they are. However, it is a timely and necessary product that all common-sense driven Americans should read. Buy it, read it, cringe, then decide for yourself if it isn't a bit "scary and infuriating."

Without trying to go for guffaws or the lowest form of humor - sarcasm, Malkin makes us laugh at the absurdity found in the views of American Leftists. Great book, even if you are a Leftist.

Michelle Malkin takes a close flinty eyed look at the Democratic party and draws the conclusion that it has become "Unhinged." This is a conclusion that will be met with anger and outrage by those whom she describes and with humor and concern by conservatives and "old school" Democrats alike. The Democratic party has taken a dangerous detour which is aptly described by Malkin in this book.

There is not an untrue word in this book. Not an untrue story. Not an untrue anecdote. And the overwhelming impression that one gathers after reading this book is that the Democratic party has so marginalized itself that it can no longer speak for a significant percentage of our great country. Sure, there are many in the Democratic party who do not subscribe to the shenanigans of Gore, Clinton, Kerry, Dean, Franken, Moore, Kennedy, Durbin et al, but they simply cannot be paying close attention.

The radicalization of the Democratic party cannot be good for the party nor can it be good for our great country. The party has become detached from truth and reality. Malkin tells the story of the disintegration of the party with hillarious examples that make this easy and enjoyable reading.

Other reviewers have reverted to the age old tactic of calling Malkin a liar. Problem is she has told absolutely no lies. She hasn't even embelished the truth. She has just told it like it is using the Democrats own words and actions over and over again. I'm not quite sure why the reviewers on the left would want to distance themselves from their standard-bearers. This is, after all, the modern Democratic party in all its glory. These ARE the party leaders! These are the most visible Democrats. This is the Democratic party.

I had been warned not to read this book because it was just a book that bashed Liberals. In reading it, however, I found that it was really a book about Liberals bashing, maligning and vilifying Conservatives, Republicans, Christians, Red State inhabitants, and specifically President Bush, and his entire administration and anyone else who doesn't think the way they do. Michelle Malkin lets liberals expose themselves by quoting them directly and showing how they think.

It is a sad day for America to see how our culture has declined. Civility and respect for fellow Americans has been totally abandoned by many Liberal Democrats. It is not just the fringes either. Malkin quotes leaders of the Democratic Party shouting insults, not only in the heat of campaigns, but also in the halls of congress. Ugly language, profanity and over the top hatred have permeated the psyche of the far left who now control the Democratic Party.

Liberal hatred is not confined to rhetoric either. Malkin reports on numerous acts of vandalism, physical attacks, and terrorist acts directed at Republican Headquarters around the country before and after the 2004 election. These acts were not confined to a few loonies but were pervasive and widespread across the country. If acts like these were directed at Democratic Headquarters we would have never heard the end of it by the mainstream media. The fact is that the mainstream media looks the other way, laughs off much of the outrageous speech and behavior of the left as a joke, suggesting the Conservatives have no sense of humor.

You will wonder what has happened to decency-to sanity when liberals obsess about assassinating the President, wallow in conspiracy theories, compare America to the worst murderous regimes in the world, and accuse our military of crimes equal to head-severing terrorists. This book should be a wake up call to the Democratic Party. Liberals who have long viewed themselves as compassionate, tolerant, open minded, and smart had better take a long hard look in the mirror and see what they have become.

Michelle Malkin has written a short, pithy, documented story of the dark side of the loony liberal left, the moonbat faction and elements of some of the "thought leaders" of the Democrats.

Sure, conservatives have moments of lunacy as well, but not nearly as many and not nearly as mean.

What most people would call hate speech or politically incorrect language seems to have a comfortable home in the minds and mouths of the moonbats. Language and images that would get conservatives banished or out of office seems to earn kudos from the mainstream media when it comes from the loony lefties, especially if the words are mouthed by a 'star' or celebrity.

The left has never comes to grips with the history that they created: In 1992, Bill Clinton and his party had the control of the White House, congress, and, for all intents and purposes, the Supreme Court. However, putting Bill and Hillary in office only initiated the greatest conservative surge among the populace, and by 2000, the middle American conservative movement had swept the White House, the congress, and the right to pick the next set of Supreme Court justices. This unhinged the liberal left at a time when they should and could have made their own appropriate corrections. Instead, we get a self-destructive Howard Dean replaced by the wholly inept John Kerry, the real poster boy for the rich, spoiled, clueless elements of the left. Instead of a counterbalance to the right, we have a deadweight sinking the left into its own mire.

It is painful to read the numerous, silly, cruel, stupid acts perpetuated by the moonbats. It might have some redemptive quality if only their intentions were good. They're not, and Malkin has been the unfair recipient of people who substitute venom for logic, and ad hominen attacks for evidence. This is not pleasant to read but, at the same time, there are some chuckles that stem from reading the equivalent of an episode of Jerry Springer.

I'm new to Michelle Malkin, but as a student of the conservative right, I have read many books about the current state of politics in the US. What is most striking to me about this and other books written about the liberal left is they harbor so much hatred for the Republican party or anyone who is a conservative. For liberals, its free speech when they slander and libel conservatives, yet when a conservative does it, the liberals want the conservative prosecuted as a criminal. The shoe is on the other foot. Liberals, get over it. The Republicans won the last election. Move on with your lives.

Have read most all of what is in this book on her website, etc. Main comment is, if your not receiving hate mail you are not doing your job correctly. Looking at many of the reviews here I would say she is doing her job correctly and accurately. The most damaging thing to Liberalism is what liberals say with their own mouths. Then when that is put to print or played back to them and they read/hear it themselves, all they can say is "liar". This book is another great brick in the wall of truth showing how the Democratic Party (the party of JFK) has been taken over by radical socialists/communists.
