Wonderful romantic thriller,

This review is from: Unholy Angels (Paperback)
Can a family survive evil? That's what Liz Janssen tries to find out when her son, Will, joins a Satanic cult -- following in her dead husband's footsteps. She doesn't believe that her husband,Peter, would commit suicide because of her. After all, they were already in the process of getting a divorce. But her dead husband's friend, a member of the cult, convinces her son of that lie. In turn, Will rebels and accuses her of causing his father's death.
Liz finds herself emotionally stranded when she meets the local new sheriff, Doug McBride, who investigates the death of Peter Janssen. He has his own doubts that Peter killed himself. He knows about the cult, it's evil leader, and is determined to destroy them. But somewhere along the way, he falls in love with Liz, and that feeling becomes mutual. Just how far will Doug go to destroy the Satanic cult, especially when he learns that Will has become a member? Can Liz break the bond that the cult holds on her son? This was a real page-turning thriller with enough romance to keep me happy. I throroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more of Karen Fenech's works. |
