From Library Journal
New Orleans homicide detective Dillmann relates his investigation of the apparently accidental hit-and-run death of Patricia Giesick, a young newlywed. The more he probed, the more he became convinced that the "accident" was a deliberate murder-for-profit planned and executed by Patricia's husband and Sam Corey, a self-styled preacher and owner of a chain of Texas massage parlors. Dillmann's diligent efforts resulted in the convictions of both men. The author is a better detective than he is a writer, but this story of a sinister crime and its solution will hold the attention of readers, especially those who are police procedural buffs.
