It is so hard to find nonfiction written with voice, and this book has it! Each article focuses on one "unhuggable" animal (snake, spider, cockroach, etc.) in a one to three page format that can easily be shared with kids. I have used them to teach determining importance and summarizing skills with kids in grades 2-6. One of my favorites as a model for a nonfiction mentor text.
