Amazon delivers great value with the Unicorn GT215!, March 25, 2011
This review is from: Unicorn GT215 Tungsten Steel Tip Dart Set with Eclipse Max Case (Sports)
Weight: With flights, shafts and dart the total weight on a postal scale was 28g. I found this odd because the packaging indicates 24g weight, and Unicorn's website indicates that the GT215s are sold as 21g and 22g weight.
Diameter: The GT215s are slimmer than a standard #2 pencil by a good amount, probably closer to a disposable chop stick.
Quality: The darts themselves and the shafts seem very nice and the density of the 90% tungsten alloy feels great in the hand. The flights scratch and flake easy, don't try to put them in the built-in flight holders in the case unless you don't mind them peeling apart. I have not noticed any irregularities in length or workmanship between the three darts, they seem to all weigh the same.
Price: $50 retail? Not with Amazon! Fantastic price with free shipping.
Play: I love the way these darts play so far, the darts themselves are nice and long which makes it easier to throw with my regular grip (I have large hands). The finger grips are nice and textured, no slip there. The back of the dart is smooth but that has yet to affect my throw.
Misc: I play darts with my friends from work, they also generally like the feel of the darts and have been considering getting some as well. Overall, great purchase!

Thought they were OK..., February 23, 2011
This review is from: Unicorn GT215 Tungsten Steel Tip Dart Set with Eclipse Max Case (Sports)
Open darts from packaging, and inspected them in its plastic case, everything seemed fine. Play darts on Tuesdays, got to darts and put them together again everything seemed fine, then I start throwing. As I am throwing I find myself readjusting my grip atleast once everytime I get up to throw. I thought at first it was me getting used to the darts, but then looked at the darts, thought it could be the shafts. But one darts point was about 1/4-1/2 inch shorter then the other two.
Not what I paid for, and could feel the difference when throwing.

Well crafted, high scoring, ingenious case, great price, March 11, 2011

Sometimes you just don't realize what you're missing. I have a couple of sets of darts, but most are lighter than these. My old darts are also a bit wider than these. Narrow darts helps you to improve your score as long as you are fairly accurate to begin with. Since each dart takes up less space, you can group darts more tightly. I am definitely getting better grouping around the bulls eye with these darts.
The darts arrived in perfect shape. The grip is fantastic. I find that I can hold the darts close to the front and have no problem with slippage.
The carrying case is compact and well designed to allow you to store your darts and accessories.
Speaking of accessories, this kit comes with locking 'O' rings and flight protectors. I have mixes feelings about the 'O' rings but for the most part they really do what they are supposed to - keeping the two sections of the darts from loosening. The flight protectors are great. I have gone through quite a few of them however, as a direct hit from another dart will cause them to crack apart.
I purchased a second set of darts for the office dart board (it helps with the stress) and have retired all of my other darts.
