Book Description

January 1, 1990
Especially with an all-new package.

The combined magic and technology between the parallel worlds of Phaze and Proton is not enough to save the planets from a conquering invasion. Only Mach and Bane--robot and wizard, linked between worlds--have any chance of stopping this threat.

Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

The parallel wars of wits and politics on the magical world of Phaze and its technological sister-world Proton take a bizarre twist as the children of the Robot Adept Mach and his Phaze-born counterpart Bane play hide-and-seek for keeps to foil the plans of the Contrary Citizens of Proton and the Adverse Adepts of Phaze. Familiar characters from previous series titles come together for a rousing climax in this "conclusion" to one of Anthony's most endearing series. Recommended.-- JC

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book, June 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The first couple of books in this series were the best. I am only reading the rest of the series because I wanted to see how it ends. However, most of the remaining books seem to be basically telling the same story as the first book over and over.

I just want Piers Anthony to keep writing more on the series. This Adept series is not the first one of his I have read, but it is as good as the Incarnations series. It even seems like the writing gets special at the climaxes of these novels, like the author goes into a prose mode, or something like that. He has a special gift for picking the right words to describe scenes of awesome power and unparalleled beauty! I shall read the next book now, and I already think I want to read more than that in this series!

I liked Unicorn Point. It continued the story in a believable way, as well as adding to the storylines and suggesting other ways for the story to go.
