Editorial Reviews

Review

Gloriously illustrated by award-winning artist Linda Crokett, Unicorn Races is a truly beautiful picturebook about a young girl who oversees an exciting unicorn race amidst the stars. The full color paintings perfectly catch the energy of multicolored unicorns racing through the sky, past the moon and the stars and a shining lighthouse. A delightful story about experiencing the thrill of a fantasy universe, blending prose and artwork into an unforgettable whole, Unicorn Races is a one-of-a-kind picturebook especially recommended as a gift for young girls and fantasy lovers. --Midwest Book Review / Feb. 2007

"This gorgeous picture book...tells the tale of a young girl who, after going to bed each night, flies away on a unicorn's back to become a princess. The illustrator uses the medium of watercolors to create art gallery-level pictures...We rated this wonderful book our top score of five hearts." --Heartland Reviews - Bob Spears Editor - Feb. 2007

Unicorn Races portrays a magical journey of enchantment and make-believe, filled with princesses, unicorns, fairies, and elves...Unicorn Races will appeal to children ages four to seven. They will delight in the excitement surrounding the race, which is almost too close to call. --ForeWord Magazine, May/June 2007

Warning to parents - only buy this book if you resign yourself to reading it every night to your child. The illustrations belong in an art gallery and the story is peaceful and moving. There isnt a "princess" in the world who shouldnt have this in their collection.
