Uniden's compact BC244CLT is a fully programmable, 30-channel, 10-band scanner. Features include a full-frequency backlit LCD, a clock with alarm, channel lockout, a priority channel, and one-touch weather, too--search from seven pre-programmed NOAA channels for your local NOAA weather channel. Also included are an auto delay, review, volume, and squelch control. Channel information is stored in non-volatile memory, so in the event of a power failure the scanner will retain channel information indefinitely.
The BC244CLT has 30 memory channels. Each can be programmed to store one frequency within the band of frequency coverage. When you press SCAN, the BC244CLT scans each programmed frequency for activity (skipping channels that are locked out) at the rate of about 12 channels per second. When the scanning stops on an active frequency, it remains on that channel as long as the transmission continues. When the transmission ends, the scanner stays on the channel for two more seconds, waiting for a responding transmission. If no responding transmission is detected, the scanning cycle resumes.
When you activate Priority Scan, the scanner keeps track of the activity on a designated priority channel while scanning the other channels in the background.

This scanner did a good job for awhile then you couldn't get the squelch to work, the only thing that would work was the weather frequencies.

I really like this scanner due to the EASY programming of the channels you want. It also displays the time of day when off. I am going to purchase another one today for another location in the house!
