Ive actually owned this system for 2 years. My parents have a cordless phone that needs to be replaced so I was going to buy them this system because I like the one that I own. Pros: good clarity, range, and battery life. Cons: When using the speakerphone on the handsets the volume level is not steady and tends to rise and fall. After about a year of use the labels under the bottom buttons have worn off(not that big a deal because I know what all the buttons do).
Overall I would recommend this phone to anyone.

These phones are worth every penny and then some. The battery life is excellent, sometimes we have the phones off the base for days and the batteries are still at atleast 75%. We have a multilevel home and we use the intercom feature more than the phone as a regular phone sometimes. My spouse and I talked while I was down stairs on the intercom for about 2 hours, like we were in different locations. The intercom works just like a regular phone conversation. The only thing is you can't put it on speaker. You can tap into the room and see what is going on too, using the room monitor feature which is great for having busy kids. These phones also allow you to record your conversation just in case you have someone harassing you or you want to record a business call. All you have to do is press menu while you are on the phone and it gives you the option to record. The record goes to your voice mail so that you can easily record it onto tape or cd using the speaker phone feature. It has many other features, the conference allows us to be on the phone at the same time with one person, which is new with cordless phones. It is pretty neat. Also I like the fact that you can transfer the call to another handset, and you can name the handset using the banner feature. We labeled it based upon where we have it in our home. It have many different ring tones and many features. It is worth every penny. The seller was quick too, we got it earlier than we expected.

I have used this phone for many years now and have come to depend on the features it offers! I've used the monitor feature for my dog when he was asleep upstairs...so I would know when he was awake and ready to come down as he was elderly and needed assistance! I have used the speaker phone to talk to my family out of state...so my daughter and husband can also participate in the call. I also find it handy to talk and cook supper at the same time and the best part is...the party I am talking to...can't tell I have them on speaker phone b/c the sound is so good. I used the expandable feature to have one on each floor and in the basement and den where we spend most of our time..this puts the phone at our finger tips! I also love that you can listen to the messages from any phone...not just the main handset base. My first base got struck by lightning...and I made sure to find this same phone to replace it!

after owning these units for 2 years 2 of the handset will only let you hear the other person and not talk to them and of course they hang up. units are out of warranty and suspect 3rd unit will fail same way. would not buy again.
