Amazon.com Product Description This Uniden DCX 770 accessory handset is designed to fit seamlessly into your existing Uniden DMX 700 or DCT 600 series phone system. Built with the same stylish black and silver styling as your base station and operating on the same 2.4 GHz frequency with digital technology, the DCX 770 offers the features you've come to rely on.

Handset features vary depending on the specifications of your base system but generally include support for caller ID/call waiting (requires subscription through your phone company) with a 100-name-and-number memory that's shared with the programmable phonebook; a large backlit LCD displaying date/time, calendar, selectable pictures, and screen colors; room/baby monitoring; and two-way radio function between handsets (using DirectLink mode).

Additional features include speakerphone, text messaging between handsets, call transfer, memory transfer, mute, hold, last 10-number redial, and volume control. The DCX 770 comes with a belt clip for hands-free use with a headset (not included).

There is a handset speakerphone. The belt clip is included. It is headset compatible for hands free conversations. There is handset-to-handset text messaging, intercom, and phonebook transfer. There is a battery, clock, & banner displays. It features a calendar with programmable reminders. It uses the DirectLink™ 2-way radio feature. There is trilingual menus. This phone system has 20 ring tone options, last 3 number redial, and a mute/hold function, There is also a voicemail waiting indicator.

This item did not meet the standards I was expecting. I usually switch to another phone rather than talk on this one as it does not have good quality reception. I would not buy another one or recommend it.

Purchased two of theese phones plus the unit with the answering machine that is the comander base.

Only one of the three came with batteries that charged and worked. After 10 additional days waiting for uniden to send replacement batteries only two of the three phones are working. The performance of the working phones are pretty good. Sometimes there is an echo but its overall design and features I like. If they all came working I would have given them 5 stars. The phones are more copmact like cell phones are and I don't think my mother who is 60 likes the small screen and # buttons.

This phone has horrible voice quality and tons of static; not typical of Uniden phones but apparently this model is a lemon.

Save yourself some headaches and buy something else.
