Featuring English and Spanish menus to help guide you, the DECT2080 is made for reliable, everyday operation. First, the digital answering machine uses microchip technology for clearer recordings and longer life--and say goodbye to moving parts that can break! Secondly, the system is expandable; you can register up to six handsets to one base, making it a snap to enjoy whole house coverage.

The handset speakerphone, conference call capabilities and 30 Caller ID handset memory locations all help you improve communication, whether the DECT2080 is for business or personal use. There's also advanced phonebook features to save you time, including a storage capacity of up to 70 names, an alphabetical search and your choice of unique ringers that identify different calling parties. Additionally, you can transfer a single listing or the entire phonebook. Finally, the redial options include storage of the last 10 numbers dialed, so you'll never have to hunt down your most frequently dialed digits.

About DECT Technology
Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz). As a result, DECT phones offer consumers enhanced voice clarity and crystal clear digital sound quality. DECT 6.0 technology also offers higher security and voice protection, as well as a longer battery and battery standby life than existing 2.4 GHZ or 5.8 GHz phones.

I needed just a phone with a digital answering machine. This was it! Not a kazillion extralines, just an answerinf machine a one phone handset and caller id. Perfect!

Before this phone I had a set of two Unidem 2,4ghz with answering machine and caller ID, now I have the old set and this brand new DECT 6 from the smae manufacterer, They are getting better in some aspects, first at all, you can see the phone number who is calling all the time in the screen, with the older it was show ust for 1 o 2 seconds, so the caller ID is uselesss in the old model, other improvement is the design, the base and the handset look great, it say, this is a new model, one of the good things in the new desing is the hide the antenna. Other good detail is the iluminated keypad while you are in a call or want to. Final tought, the ahndset have a speakerphone for handsfree talk and you can see the battery status on the screen. Good phone, buy with confidence, you'll love it.
