After working my way through the owner's manual, I was able to set up the Uniden DECT2185 phone with no problem. Like any other "new" gadget, you have to use it regularly until you feel comfortable with it. The sound quality is superb, and volume can be easily adjusted on the base and handset. I feel, however, that based on the price, this phone should have included at least one additional handset. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied with this phone and would recommend it without hesitation. This is my second Uniden answer system phone. The previous one lasted 25 years and was still working!

This is a great phone. My husband who is very critical of phones, loves it, too. We like the intercom feature. It will ring any handset and then you can talk to the person in that room. It is awesome if you have a two story house and don't want to yell upstairs. I like how the answering machine has an led to show the # of messages. When talking on the phone, notice no static or interference. Crystal clear. Thank you, Amazon, great price.

I use this phone in my home office and was looking for one with good speakerphone quality. This meets and exceeds all my needs.

Phone works good and looks good. The call blocking feature is very nice as well as the do not disturb feature. The only downside is that there is no clip to hang the phone on yourself.

The voice quality is very clear whether using the speaker on the receiver or the base. It's great to use the keypad and key in the customer options when using the speaker phone on the base, when calling stores. I finally found what suits my needs.

It has all the options I needed. Speaker phone, speaker phone in handset, answering machine, nice display and it looks nice too. It's hard to beat this phone for the price.

This is a good phone. I bought it after doing tons of research, and it was the highest rated that I found at a reasonable price. I bought it for an important meeting where I needed a speakerphone, which works great. I keep hitting the End button with my ear when I'm talking, but I'm not sure if that's a design flaw, or human error, although I'm betting on the second. I've had it for about two months, and it's still working well.

Finally retired my old Uniden phone after 10 years (still working well). Decided to upgrade to the newer DECT system and was not disappointed. This phone system covers all of my basic needs and works as described with no problems at all. Would highly recommend this system to anyone requiring a good dependable cordless phone system.

worth it

I have only used this phone for a few weeks, but so far it meets my needs. It has basically the same features as my other phone and at a great price. I only wish I could find a cordless slimline phone that
I can use on my wall mount in the kitchen. No one seems to offer one
anymore.
