This is the WORST phone I have ever purchased!!! I am actually going to buy another-- the older Uniden version 2.4 from Amazon to go back to the BETTER phone we had before. *Half of the time one of the phone's doesn't work. *I don't like the fact that it only holds 1 week worth of numbers- (the older version holds 100 numbers). *It only has 4 rings to pick from- (the older version had 20). *I get static ALL the time- (the older version never a problem). *I HATE that the display doesn't show unless you have it on the cradle, so you have to put it on a cradle to see which handset it is and how much battery it has- (the old version always showed the display- including the time and date). * There is no locate button if you can't find it- (the old version had a button that you could push to make them all beep). *So far I have not been able to find a "ringer-off" option for the answering machine... so the phone won't ring, but the answering machine still does. *You can't pick up the phone and "answer"it if the machine picked it up first... it says phone in use and hangs up on the person talking on the machine... DO I NEED TO GO ON??? THIS PHONE $UCKS!!! I HATE IT!! I HATE IT!! I HATE IT!!

THIS PHONES DONT WORK AS YOU DESCRIBED, PEOPLE CAN NOT HEAR YOU PROPERLY, IF YOU WALK FAR AWAY FROM THE BASE DONT WORK,DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THSI ITEM

Originally, I loved this phone. It gave me all of the things I needed - an answering machine, mutiple headseats, caller ID, speaker phone on the headset etc. However, I have had this set for approximatley six months now and NONE of the three sets will hold a charge for more than half an hour or so. To make it worse, there are no beeps or warnings that the battery is going to die, it just dies in the middle of your conversation! To get the phone to work again, you have to manually unplug the main unit from the wall. Not a wise investment if you want a phone to last more than six months or so.

I know this isnt the latest version but ever since my daughter bought me my first cordless Uniden well over 10 yrs ago Ive been a Uniden fan since. I wouldnt buy anything else. These are great phones. Ive tried a few others and they just dont compare especially for the money. The reason I didnt go up to the 6.0 version is that they stopped putting a headset jack on the newer version. I have a problem with my elbow joints so I need to use a headset especially if I talk more than a few minutes. Uniden is the only phone with this feature but again they didnt put them on their lastes version. The only draw back to the 5.8 version is that it really doesnt have a lot of range but I have several phones and the cradles around my house so it helps. Yes I would buy them again and again and again and o did I say and again...;)

We had an older version of this phone and loved it. When one of the handsets went out, my husband decided to get the newer version. The newer version has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE! The sound quality is terrible, some of the features do not work properly (or at all). I am looking for a set of the older version because I cannot stand using these anymore.

THE FIRST FEW DAYS IT WORKED FINE IT THE HOUSE BUT YOU GO OUTSIDE YOU WOULD LOOSE THE CALL, FEW DAYS LATER THE PHONE WOULD NOT WORK IS ALL.SHORT RANGE.....

only two out of the three phones worked the manual is lame and does not tell you how to link the phones so you end up guessing its horrible. I am disabled and needed three phones instead I have two and one that doesnt even work. Very unhappy!
