Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Uniden's EXAI-378i 900 MHz cordless phone offers extended range, compared with older phones operating on a lower band, meaning that you can walk farther while you talk. Tried-and-true analog technology provides simple operation and permits a value price. Caller ID with call waiting capability allows you to identify and screen your calls, and stores up to 30 numbers in memory that are easily called back from the handset LCD.

The integrated digital answering system delivers up to 15 minutes of clear messages, and the new-message indicator lets you know when you've missed a call. Additional features include your choice of English or French language menus, voice-menu prompts, last-number redial, autoscanning, handset locator, pulse/tone dialing, and more. Plus, the EXAI-378i is hearing aid and headset compatible, desk- or wall-mountable, and includes a belt clip for hands-free convenience.

From the Manufacturer

Other features include voice menu prompts, new message indication, 30 caller ID memory locations, one-touch RocketDial number, 10 speed-dial memory locations, English or French menus, handset speaker and ringer volume control, last number redial, autoscan system, and find handset locator. The unit is hearing aid compatible and desk or wall mountable. Enjoy 7-hour continuous talk time and 14-day standby, thanks to the long-life battery. 5.0 out of 5 stars Love Uniden phones, June 15, 2002
By A Customer
I have 2 uniden phones that I have had great luck with so I was trying to find one that is replacing one that I have dropped one too many times and has a short in it.

I looked at other models and ended up not liking the reception of them and spend a little extra than planned and bought this one.. I LOVE IT!

The reception is great, the answerer is great, nice and clear and easy to operate...DEFINATELY spend the $ on this phone/answer... It's worth it

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality inexpensive phone, July 10, 2002
By A Customer
I was looking for a new cordless phone because I was having static and interference problems with my Sony. The reception on this phone is excellent with no static whatsoever, and now I can cover the entire house with no problems at all. The handset is light and feels very comfortable in the hand. The answering machine works as expected (not really looking for any advanced features here).

Overall it is a high quality, clear sounding cordless/answering machine that costs a lot less than some other bigger brand names.

1.0 out of 5 stars Voice quality on Answering machine poor, October 21, 2002

This review is from: Uniden EXAI-378i 900 MHz Cordless Phone with Call Waiting ID and Answering Machine (Ivory) (Office Product)
The phone itself isn't bad, but I rated it a 1 star for the poor quality of voice/sound on the answering machine. I tried several digital answering machines and finally ended up with the Panasonic kx-tg2247s phone/answering machine. It works great and has good sound quality.
