4.0 out of 5 stars nice little 2 line cordless
I was looking for a moderately priced 2-line cordless with caller-id and there aren't a lot of choices...

Because of the mixed reviews here, I was wary - and bought this under the Radio Shack label so I could easily return to my local store if I had any problems...

BUT it's a nice phone. No problems.
One feature not mentioned in the "editorial" is that...

1.0 out of 5 stars Grossly inferior
Poor construction, poor sound quality and lack of essential features, such as visual indication of waiting voice mail, make this product one of the worst possible choices.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice little 2 line cordless, February 23, 2004

One feature not mentioned in the "editorial" is that you can store NAMES and numbers in the handset memory/speed-dial and scroll through to select - just like most cell phones.

4.0 out of 5 stars sound clarity., September 7, 2003
This review is from: Uniden EXI-3226 2.4 GHz Analog 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
This the first cordless phone we have had whose audio quality is as good as or superior to a corded phone. You can hear people clearly and distinctly even at some distance from the base unit. We have yet to experience reverberation the way you do on some cordless phones. Combine it with a headset you also get hands free mobility and don't lose anything in sound quality.

The phone has two features that we especially like. First, you may pick up the phone from the base unit and start talking immediately, just as you would on a corded phone. We like that. Second, you can pick up the handset when it's not on the base and hit any key on it to start talking. You don't have to look for the line 1 or line 2 key to start your conversation.

We would like it to have the feature that allows you to get immediately to a stored phone number by hitting an alpha key on your touchpad and bringing up your stored number by name. This has been a great feature on other phones. On this one, however, we get to a stored number by scrolling through the numbers in their stored locations until you get the number you want.

1.0 out of 5 stars The WORST Phone EVER, April 19, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Uniden EXI-3226 2.4 GHz Analog 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
Amazon is the best, and offers the best deals anywhere. However this phone is the WORST!

I never realized how bad it could be until my daughter swallowed some day glow liquid from one of the silly party bracelets. In calling our doctor, local ER and Poison Control Center, I was so frustrated that I couldn't hear anything they said (the static is so bad). To complicate matters, the dialing is so slow that it added to the stress. Thank G-d for cell phones!!!

Do not buy this phone, because you will never know in an emergency if it will perform.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT LITTLE CORDLESS, June 15, 2007
This review is from: Uniden EXI-3226 2.4 GHz Analog 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
I bought this phone about two years ago just because I ran across it on sale. I just recently started using it. I do not understand all the bad reviews. Some reviewers mention the answering device -- this model does NOT have an answering device, so.... There are all the options I needed. The ring is pure and adjustable, the voice clarity is good, there's no static, the range is great -- from the third floor of my house to out in the yard to the inside of my neighbor's house is fine. Plus, it's cute. The round speaker gives an old fashioned look to a modern product. I'm very pleased with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Uniden EXI-3226, August 11, 2010
This review is from: Uniden EXI-3226 2.4 GHz Analog 2-Line Cordless Phone with Caller ID (Office Product)
This cordless phone is probably the best deal one can get for a 2-line speakerphone. Speakerphone is in the base unit. The handset is NOT a speakerphone. But you can use the handset placed in front of you on table or desk and talk. If the base unit is nearby to hear the conversation. No echos heard by people on other phone doing it this way. If you answer or call you do need to press line 1 or line 2 on the base unit to get the speakerphone to operate. You can dial numbers either from base unit or handset. On my model there is no automaitic answer of call. I have to press line 1 or line 2. Better phones - you just pick up handset and talk without pressing any numbers or line 1 or 2. I have had zero problems with static. Sound quality is very good. I have not used any of the other functions. On my base unit both lights - line 1 and line 2 flash when receiving a call. This tends to be confusing. I'll have to read up on the manual for that one.

wanted to find an inexpensive 2 line portable phone for our basement, which the kids use, and which the last version got manhandled, which is why we bought a new one. very easy to use and very reasonably priced. these are getting harder to find under $100.

This is the first time I have actually purchased a phone that works just like it is supposed to. I love the phone. I am glad I got it.
