I was impressed by these..we went on a cruise and they worked quite well when within the range...

After reading the other reviews they are what I expected. They have been very durable (I bought them for my kids to use) and the battery life is excellent. The range is just what others have said you get out of most radios, 1/2 mile + or - in the city. (Good luck with 6 miles LOL. I am glad I did not waste my money on the "longer range" ones.)

Overall I am very satisfied with these and would buy them again. I was also very pleased with Amazon as usual for me (90% of the time)

I love these when using them all over our farm but they won't reach the hilly 1 mile to the neighbors house. Maybe I was asking too much??? Great durable product otherwise!

I have used these radios for 2 years at a summer camp for staff to be in constant contact. They are reliable, light weight, and have a good range.

What a mess! I don't know what to say. 6 miles? not even half a mile!! As simple as that.

I was a little worry when I bought the product. Because it's price is much lower than similar products. It turns out working great for my purpose (tracking my son in the subdivision).

We bought this set so our son would have no excuse to not be in touch with us if he was out in the neighborhood with friends, or when we went to the local fair, so we could keep tabs on him. It worked well enough to suit the main purpose, but we didn't realize when we bought them that you must get a license to use them for longer ranges that were advertised. They cut out quite a bit, but we were happy with them overall. My husband plans to take it hunting with him.

Within two months one of the three units would not charge and was inoperable requiring battery replacement. Can not locate replacement so will go with four triple A lithium batteries.

We had a three vehicle caravan going when we moved, and these radios allowed us to have three-way conversations easily. We now use them at my mother's house, where there is a seven-flight set of stairs between the house and the waterfront. They hold charge well. They're really handy!

works fine within apt complex. But when I tried using it on the road, I couldnt hear the voice when I was 2 miles away
