As part of Uniden's Professional series, the PC68LTW CB offers 40-channel operation and a front-positioned microphone for easy use. This radio functions on any of the 40 AM frequencies authorized by the FCC, and also boasts seven weather channels with a severe weather broadcast alarm. Its adjustable, red-lit LED channel display and transmit/receive indicators let you monitor activity at a glance, and additional features like gain controls and an adjustable squelch help you fine-tune performance.
Uniden's dynamic squelch control delivers a clear signal with less noise so that all your channels sound crisp and legible. The squelch control even reduces noise when the CB user on the other end doesn't have it, an advantage that few other squelch enhancers enjoy.
The PC68LTW also features weather radio, complete with a weather alert system. Weather Radio continually broadcasts weather conditions on 7 different channels, and the alert system sounds a seven-second signal in the event of severe weather, so you're always on top of whatever mother nature's dishing out.
The PC68LTW also includes an adjustable LED channel display and transmit/receive indicators for monitoring activity at a glance; backlit control knobs; a PA/CB switch; and an analog S/RF meter. The unit, which measures 7.28 by 8.63 by 2.20 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3 pounds, is backed by a two-year warranty on parts and labor.

Great Radio,

This review is from: Uniden PC68LTW 40 Channel CB Radio with Front Mic (Electronics)
This unit looks and works great. Installation was easy and the performance has been great. Has all the adjustments that I was looking for plus the weather channels. I didn't really want the weather channels at the time of purchase, but I'm glad I have them now.The cosmetics are great -- chrome dials, silver face, green back-lighting, analog signal meter. The unit is not a compact unit, but I was able to fit it under the radio in my '96 Ford Ranger without too much trouble. The 9' microphone cord seemed really long to me when I saw that on the spec sheet, but it is actually about perfect. There are a couple of downsides: The Dynamic Squelch Control is completely useless. As far as I can tell, it just automatically sets the squelch to a higher-than-appropriate level. With DSC on, you miss all low-powered transmissions and some high-powered ones. DSC works great if you're only interested in a ~300' radius. I never turn mine on. The other downside is that it's nearly impossible to determine the knob positions by sight. That is, you can't easily look down and see that the volume is at 1/2 and squelch is at 1/8, e.g. Neither of these downsides are that big of a deal, though. BTW, I use the RF Gain control much more than squelch to fine tune my reception. Don't buy a CB radio without RF Gain. This thing has great clarity, both transmitting and receiving. However, make sure not to skimp on your antenna.

Top of the line,

This is a really nice CB radio. I love the Dynamic Squelch Control, the RF Gain control and the Mic Gain control. I had enough room to install this under the dash in a new 2005 Chevy 1 ton dully. I run this CB with a Wilson Little wil antenna. That antenna is OK, but I would recommend a bigger antenna such as the Wilson 500 or 1000. The lighted display looks nice at night and I also like the weather channels.
Cons: You are unable to see where any of your knobs are set at.

Great CB, Awesome backlighting, Quality AUDIO!,

I have had this CB installed for 3 months now, and use it daily. I had mine peaked and tuned (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) so it is loud and clear out to 10 miles average easily. The Dynamic Squelch Control works great if the channel is clear, or if you lower the RF gain to cut noise. It only lets through what you can hear clearly anyway. If channel is busy, manual squelch works better. It's very versatile. Noise reduction is much better than some other CB's I've used. The perfect CB for my needs.
PROS: Dynamic Squelch Control is useful function most of the time; Clear Audio from stock mic(seems to be better than most stock mics); Noise reduction (NB/ANL) works great; Weather channels (7), PA function, RF Gain, Mic gain all useful CONS: Dim switch doesn't dim the knobs/switches lights, only the meter and channel display - not a problem for me, but useful to know; Doesn't have an ANT warning light for high SWR I would certainly buy this CB again. I will again recommend a peak/tune because that really cleans up the audio and receive, adjusts squelch sensitivity, and mic signal for clean, clear modulation. It makes the CB perform to its maximum ability within legal limits.
