I was looking for quality phone set with the latest technoloty and that would be dependable and compatible with my Ooma VOIP system. I didn't need another answering machine. Many other phones include an answering machine whether I need one or not. Uniden offers consumers a choice. I have had many cordless systems over the years from several brands. This Uniden set is the best quality and best value I have every purchased. I highly recommend it.

Paying what we did for both of these phones I didn't think they were going to last us long. We have had them for about 6 months now and they are still going strong. We did have a problem with one of the phones coming apart but that could of been due to our 2 year old son! So I think its pretty durable holding up to him! I love being able to page the other phone, so if I am upstairs and my husband is downstairs I can page him and ask him to bring me a pepsi =)

I do wish when you paged someone you could just talk and it would intercom it to the other phone but you actually have to answer it like its someone calling. But most of the time he answers so thats ok!

There are a lot of option in the settings that I am not sure what they do. It does have a lot of different ringers just like a cell phone! So I know when a particular caller is calling.

Overall I am impressed, other phones with 2 receivers were a lot more expensive! So I am happy with the purchase!

Pros:The battery life on it is fantastic. I was on a 6 hour conference call and the battery was still 50% full!

Cons: The original battery was DOA. Amazon quickly replaced it, but I have to question Uniden's quality control. The speaker is ok, but could be louder. I didn't think the speaker phone was very clear. It's just ok.

For the price I paid, I'd say it was worth the money.

The phone system works great! Love the ability to really walk the yard with the handsets and not start to lose signal until one is quite a ways away from the base station. The only thing that would make these absolutely perfect would be if Uniden would add a headphone jack to the handsets, that's why only 4 stars on the features, everything else rated a perfect 5. I've not actually timed how long the batteries last as, for the most part, the handsets are kept on their cradles when not in use. I have talked over 3 hours before on single calls and not even had the battery gauge flinch at all, so the battery talk time is REALLY excellent!

The address book, speaker phone, and ringtone choices are all nice features.
The sound quality is satisfactory. My phone doesn't get too much usage, I've never tested the range, or the battery life.
My only complaint is they dont come with belt clips. I don't use the belt clips for its intended purpose I just find it easier to hold between my ear and shoulder if there is a clip.
I believe these phones were worth the price I paid and would buy them again in the future.

I use the phone for my VOIP connection and the quality is much better than the 5,.8 GHz phone that I replaced. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend this phone.

I'm fairly happy with these phones. Only have two issues that aren't positive. First, I think the battery life is just so so. The second issue has to do with what happens when a second call comes in. For some reason the audio level changes in a strange way and stays that way until you complete the current call. Other than that, I think the pair are a good deal.

These phones are easy to setup and extremely easy to use. Sound quality is very good and the battery life never comes into question. For the price you can not beat this deal! The only flaw in my eyes is that the main unit does not have a wall mount adapter, but for the money and quality of this product, I can't complain to much.

We've had this phone for a year or two now and have been extremely happy with it. It replaced a Panasonic 5.8Ghz system that was more expensive but had shorter battery life and died after a few years.

Sound quality is excellent for a cheap cordless phone and we've never had any issues with interference in our concrete apartment (wish I could say the same thing for our wifi or FM radio reception). Battery life seems pretty good, too. Standby time isn't outstanding (it'll die after a couple days off the charger), but I've never had it run out of batteries during a call. And did I mention it's cheap? We bought ours refurbished from Unidendirect and it was unbelievably inexpensive.

There are only three things I liked better about my old Panasonic phones:

1) The Uniden is very lightweight. Some might see this as a virtue, and I have no real complaints about the build quality (it doesn't feel like it'll break or anything), but the weight of the Panasonic made it feel more substantial in my hand.

2) No headset jack. The Panasonic had a 2.5mm jack, which was great for long conference calls where I could stick the handset in my pocket and have both hands free for other activities. I miss that on the Uniden.

3) The Uniden's voicemail indicator doesn't seem to work with Vonage. We recently switched to Verizon Fios, and the Uniden's voicemail indicator seems to work great with Fios, but when we had Vonage the voicemail indicator was always lit on the Unidens (the Panasonic's voicemail indicator worked correctly with Vonage).

- Installing the product is quite simple. The instructions are easy to digest
- I need not charge the phone even after speaking continupusly 10 hours
- Phones never gets over heated even if you talk for hours together, unlike other phone do
- It really has a good shape, small size, pretty goor silver/black color combo
- Speaker phone quality is good, though the mike needs you to be nearer
- It has many attractive features like ring tones, last dialed, received numbers, call waiting, call conference etc
