The radio is equipped with 22 channels (8 GMRS and 14 FRS) for communicating with friends or family. It's easy to browse for channels thanks to the channel scan feature, which looks for active signals while you view the display, and the monitor function, which listens for weak signals on a given frequency. And talking on the radio couldn't be simpler--just hit the PTT button when you're ready to transmit. It's important to note that the transmission range will vary depending on the channel and the surrounding terrain.
The radio also includes such features as a battery strength meter, a single call tone, and a belt clip for keeping the radio firmly attached to your hip. And no worries about running out of power too quickly, as the radio runs for around 25 hours on three AAA batteries (not included). The entire bundle is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

Great FRS,
This review is from: Uniden TR620 2-Mile 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio (Electronics)
The Uniden TR620 is one of the smallest FRS radios around. But they have the range of a big unit and are very handy. I use about 20 units for Vacation Bible School. We communicate with them and also use the ringer as a "school bell" to keep the class periods precise. These units are essential for this purpose whether they are far out in a play area, in the sanctuary or under a big tent. They keep the program on time.
