So impressed with this system!,

This review is from: Uniden TRU9485-2 5.8 GHz Digital Cordless Answering System with Dual Keypad and Extra Handset (Electronics)
I just purchased this system about a month ago, but I am so impressed with it. Easy to set up but, I still don't have all the functions down because this system has it all. Great if you have a large house so you can place phones though out and use the handsets to page with the intercom, retrieve messages from the base, room monitor, even ring tones that you can program to certain numbers so you know who's calling before you look at the caller id. We use the waterproof one for outside use and seems to be a heavy duty phone. So far I think this is the perfect set up.

These phones are the best!! I love the quality and ease of operation. If the need arises, I can intercom from the cellar to the attic to ask a question instead of having to yell or go upstairs. I have never, ever had a problem with this system. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to find something that has pretty much everything (including a waterproof phone for the bathroom).

Phone features are plentiful, and the waterproof unit is great for around the kitchen (or bathroom). The 5.8GHz will not interfere with your wireless G if you have one set up. Only gripe is the crappy batteries they come with, even though they are NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride), I expected them to last more than 2 years. My previous set was a Panasonic 2.4Ghz and I loved them... but they interfered with my wireless router. Nowadays everything is DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephone) operating at 2.1-2.2 GHz... which is where I'll be heading once all four handsets go kaput.
