Uniden TRU9565-2 Digital 5.8 GHz Digital Caller ID Cordless Phone with One Extra Handset/Cradle

I've had this phone for a year now and I love it. The reception is perfectly clear and I have wireless internet. There is never a problem with interference even when we go to the end of our 2 acre property. I love the ability to turn off the ringers for various callers on different handsets. I work nights and the kid calls would keep me up all summer, but I don't miss the call from work or my hubby. My only gripe is there is no speed dial capability on the handsets, only the base which is not of much use.

I purchased this phone system to replace my current 10 year old AT & T system. My main reason for the purchase was due to the fact it states this system is wall mountable. Well, yes it does come with a wall bracket that fits over the phone line mounting plate. However, this phone when mounted sticks straight out from the wall about 7 inches. It is by NO means FLUSH MOUNT to the wall.

For all intent and purposes this is a sit on the counter or desk ONLY phone system. This will be the first time I've ever returned an item to Amazon.

Take a pass on this Uniden phone. If your looking for a FLUSH to wall, wall mount phone system.

I am pleased with the phones. however, I was expecting answering machine and was dissapointed when I discovered it was not there.

This is my 2ND Uniden phone. Considering that I find cordless phones to be fairly disposable (I have owned at least 6), this one has great features and a loud ring. The sound quality on the main handset is excellent. the sound quality on the 2ND handset is inconsistent and sometimes emitts a shrill noise before disconnecting mid call. for the money ($40), I will live with the defects. I would never consider keeping it if I had paid $100+ (the original price).

I just received this phone system as a replacement for my AT&T inside equipment plan. It is not what I expected. Last year I received the TRU9465 and it is excellent. The newer model has horrible static interference and has fewer features. I am sending it back and hopefully will be able to get another 9465 if available. The 9465 is of excellent quality, no interference and fantastic speaker phone and features. Do not get this phone if you have wireless devices in your home.

Took less than 5 minutes to hook up both phones. Charged the battery with the built in battery charger. And they work great. Can't beat it for the price.

This is good basic phone.

Pros:
1. Has a very good coverage area.
2. Base has the ability to call and also has a speaker.
3. call quality is good. No sound breaking etc

Cons:
1. The display is awfull. The phone numbers are not displayed in the US format.
2. You cannot see time on the phone. Small and really irrelevant but still it will be nice to have this feature
3. Charging takes a lot of time

Havent opened the second handset till now, so no reviews for that yet.
All in all it is a good basic set, but lacks some of the minute features which can make the transition of this product from OK to GOOD.

I liked these phones becasue they are a cordless set with a base unit that does NOT have an answering system since my phone company provides an online answering system for me. They are somewhat easy to use although registering the additional handset took about 10 tries. The call quality could be better it is a bit low and scratchy at times. One really horrible feature is the voulume of the ringer. Even on the loudest setting it is still too low. I can barely hear it in my living room over the noise from my airconditioner, tv and people talking. Also, one cool feature is the phone book. You can add contacts to one handset and copy them (electronically, through the air waves) to the other handset. This is a major timesaver.

I like the phone. The blue lighting is cute. But, I have a cheaper Uniden phone set that has more features.
