The past reviewer does not know how to appreciate good music. The song Somos Mas Americanos is very true. If you look at our past history, it tells us just the way it was and is in our society. Tigres son #1.

0 of 7 people found the following review helpful By Fed Up With Illegal Immigrants on January 9, 2008
Format: Audio CD
Only the United States would be cowardly enough to let a band comprised of illegal immigrants (ie Los Tigres del Norte) come in to this country, live here for almost 40 years, never deport them, and then when these still-immigrants (they have never become US citizens) write a song called "Somos Mas Americanos (We're More American)" the US government does nothing to deport them! This song is a load of pseudo-historical nonsense; Mexico, get over the fact that you guys lost the war (started by your own dictator, Santa Ana), this territory is the United States now! Not only that, the US never even "stole" Texas to begin with; Texas stole itself from Mexico in 1836 and later joined the US in 1845. Also, not all of us are "sons of Anglo-Saxon", I myself have no Anglo-Saxon ancestry. The album's title is "Uniendo Fronteras" which means "Uniting Borders", but I'm more convinced that they really want to erase the border. It's just ridiculous that my fellow US citizens can be criticized for such simple requests such as that immigrants to the US learn to speak English, and yet we have illegal immigrants recording anti-American music and no one says a thing. You all knew that Mexico doesn't tolerate illegal immigrants in their own country; they shoot to kill at the Guatemalan border! Basically, they want the right to come freely into our country, but don't want to let anyone into theirs. I like Mexican music and I have Mexican friends, some legal and some illegal, but if you're gonna come into this country you have no right to be saying stuff like this; if this is how you feel, get out.
