This is a great item for your boat. I have 2 of these. I only need one but sometimes when the waves are high I throw out the 2nd one. Or when I attach another boat to mine I throw it out and it secures us from moving. The last time I attached my boat to my brother in-laws boat, he had the slip ring type and we kept moving around. So when there is high waves or I am attached to another boat I throw out my 2nd one and I do not get pushed around like i did with the old Slip Ring Anchors.. I bought my brother in-law one of these and he likes it a lot better than the slip ring types...
