This is pretty slick invention and quite simple. The blasts are loud enough for sporting events, etc. Not sure about db level for small maritime crafts. I used it to chase geese off the lawn. It arrived charged and I've so far made some 20 or so blasts and it's holding. One could use tire pressure gauge to see how much air is left and it has to be easy to fill with pump or some cautious use at the gas station. I'm happy with it so far.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with a refillable horn. This unit was a pleasant surprise. It fills easily and the adjustable volume is a great feature. Although it is a little bulky, I highly recommend it.

This is a loud horn and it is great to be able to refill it with compressed air when empty.I bought it to scare away canada geese from our pond, but have only limited sucess.If you want to let people know that you are coming down the road on your bike, this will do it.

Great air horn, this is the same horn as the AirZound, the same manufacturer and same loud sound! From arms length aimed at yourself if will make your ears ring, if not you are already deaf! I have used one on both of my bicycles for over 5 years, and now have two more, one for my sailboat and one for my wife's motor-scooter. I use a bicycle pump with a gauge to pump them up to 80 psi and that gives me about 30 - 40 1/2 second blasts which is enough to make people jump out of the way of my bike. Even idiots in cars, with the windows up, turn their heads and look, instead of running me over, since it's louder than any car horn. I highly recommend these, they are durable, light weight and offer the security of getting someones attention while biking, it has saved my skin several times already.

I think this is a great product, having used an aerosol air horn before,this one can be used over,and over. It's better for the environment too.

I bought this to blast at my neighbor's barking dog. It works great. I time the blast with his bark and it shuts him up every time. It took a few blasts the first time for the dog to figure it out. It holds pressure for weeks and has several loud blasts in it. It can be refilled with a bike pump or air compressor. Be careful. Mine came pressurized and I accidentally blasted myself when I opened it. Very loud, light and has a volume control.

This horn is a wonderfully loud horn which can be recharged. I use my truck's tire compressor and get a good 30-40 short blasts from my bottle before needing a refill.

If you're trying to make an old boat legal by adding this as a signalling device, this is a good way to do it. And it's really loud--the kid in you will love it. It even lasts longer between refills than I expected--not that it much matters since the compressor refills it almost instantly. I have ordered this airhorn before from other places(they last about 6 months to a year) where it comes with the actual pump to refill the air horn with air. If you don't already have the pump, then I would not purchase this product from tis particular vendor. I would only purchase the air horn alone (without the pump) if I already owned the pump. Having said that, you can get the air horn with the pump at most other internet sites that sell this product. I have bought it at [...] several times but it is more expensive with the pump.

Anyway, I use it to walk my 3 pit bulls everyday. I can't take a chance of having any stray dogs come up to my dogs. If they do, I blow the air horn, simple as that. This usually works to scare any loose dogs away! I feel much safer with it than without it. I have been using it for 5 years and I usually have to purchase a new one every 9 months or so. I use it everyday though, meaning it goes with me on every walk!
